::Seamus walked from the Annex well after the Overlord had been whisked away by his loyal friends and supporters.
The victory over the Overlords Champion rang hollow in his heart.
His bitterness toward the undisputed master of both blade and word was gone. The end of the Dalamar era was a bittersweet triumph.
He had wished for months, someone would mangage to remove him from his station. He had asked the Overlord himself to step down in the interest of the sport and the community but his words fell on deaf ears. Now as he looked back over the events of the recent past, he sees his preminition come true ten fold. Not only was the DoS in a frenzy, but as well, Dalamar was dead. Even the scot didn't wish such a fate upon him, nor did he wish the burden the
new Overlord must now bear.
Knowing in his heart the attacks were soon to come. He realised that even in death, Dalamar would affect the communities emotions for a long time to come. Having made his mind up to use the Duely Noted for his tribute to both men, he pens a small note::
Overlord Marzan De Burghos
Congraudulations on a superb duel. May you reign with honor to the community and the station you hold.
Friends of Dalamar Ar 'Daumon
I offer my sincere condolences for the loss of your dear friend.
He will live on,so long as do, the Duel of Swords.

The news traveled quickly through the streets of Rhydin, as most bad news does. As she stood in the Annex at the start of the challenge, little did she expect it to end the way it did. Urgent business took her away at the start of what would be Dal's last match. How she wished she had been there for his final moments. To watch the skills and talents of one so gifted was a
sight to behold; now but a memory.
Lord Dalamar Ar'Daumon is a man to be remembered and remembered fondly. Not everyone agreed with his politics, but no one can take away the talent Dal possessed, even if you didn't agree with his decisions.
I know I have lost an Overlord, a mentor, and a dear friend. Let us set aside our differences and welcome a new Overlord, yet honor the memory of a man that faced each challenge with that which we hold true as members of the Duel of Swords; Honor, Integrity, and Skill.
Marzan, congratulations on a duel well fought. I wish you well in your reign as Overlord.
::In silent prayer:: ~Dal, may your blade forever ring true; my Overlord, my friend~
With a heavy heart,

::stands awestriken at the ancient cork, having seen about 25 rounds of the match he was then taken away by foul punties and could not fight free..however he had faith in Eros, and hoped he would prevail..but had no idea this would happen, weakly he picks up a pen and rights::
Eros, good friend and Overlord,
Congratulations on a fine duel, it appears the crown has chosen a new owner and I hope that it rests on your brow for a long reign. Hopefully we can talk soon for I plan to turn the 7th and my by blade unto ye for service for as long as I hold both of them.
To the community at large,
Dalamar gave his heart and soul to this sport, although some viewed him in not so well a light as others, no one..::pauses momentarily:: No one can deny the great things he has done for the sport and within the sport..Loyal, Neutral and Renegade alike..It saddens me to hear that he has been released from this mortal coil, but I hope he is truly happy now that he has rejoined his father bless them both.

::he reads the post and chuckles as he writes a respoonce::
Yes Will, only 28 rounds. How about you come in here one day and show us all how to make a duel REALLY last.
::he tacks it up and walks away laughing::

::chuckles reading the Archmeanies question:: Well, not everyone has the goal to have a duel last longer than a G.A.R.B.A.G.E. meeting.
::still giggeling tacks up a note::
Will,
Only? 28. Apart from it appearing more like 261, how long was your longest to date?
Curious, Topaz
