i'm dirt! Cool! :;smiles to himself::

Worse people have held titles, and some of them make *me* look good...look at Jesse, beat me and had absolutely no intentions of even holding the ring...now *that* is dirt. A man who doesn't even care, just wanted to cause problems. Me...I stir the pot, but I'll actually do things for the sport while making people mad.

Lucian,

Well, he is the head of the TDL team I am on. So, I guess I would like to have another Baron amongst the team. Also, hes a friend. Nothing is wrong with that...is there? Besides, I would rather him have the ring than Morgan, and that is no secret.

Lucian, please direct all insults at me. No need to discuss things with Magnus.

I'll say this quickly...i get the fourth back, I'll wear it proud and honorable, moreso than what the current baroness has done in *my* opinion. keyword *my*. Luc can think what he wants about me, so can Jona, so can Magnus. Every can do as they please, and none of us have to like it, or care. I'm trying to do something here...possibly the wrong way as usuall with me, but i am trying something...some of you know what, some, well, you'll see soon
enough.

Magnus,

Maybe the fact that his challenge was dripping with insult and lacking honor? You turn a blind eye to it, let alone encourage it, then you are just as bad.

Roland,

Just as bad as what?

And no, I turned no blind eye to this. I know it was lacking honor in the challenge. I actually stated that I did not like the way it was presented. But, can you blame him when many label him oathbreaker? Perhaps you still can, perhaps not, but everyone can make bad choices. He is a friend, and by making one or two bad choices won't change that...but should it?

Times like these make me really wish I could challenge twice per cycle.

Just as dishonorable as Huma, Magnus.

If a man is convicted of a crime by a legit government and that man is your friend. Will you attempt to free him simply because he is your friend and anything he does is forgiven at the sake of all that you stand for and believe in?

You disagree with the way he issued challenge, yet you would rather see him with the ring on, influencing everyone with his views that insults are the way to talk to people and that it is okay to claim the ring as your own, so long as you have friends that don't care either way.

Granted, Morgan gets down right hostile when she expresses her views but I have yet to see her pointlessly spew comments on these boards. Nor have I seen her issue challenge in a manner as such.

Roland,

You state that insults are not the way to talk to people, yet you keep calling me and others dishonorable. Just because I support Huma in this challenge makes me dishonorable? If your wife one day issues challenge "dishonorably", would you wish that she loses, or would you still support her?

Magnus,

Queen Luthien, holder of the 9th ring for over a year, would never issue a challenge dishonorably.

But if she ever did, I would accept the fact that I am aiding a soon-to-be dishonorable Baron. Someone that goes against my personal views and beliefs. I would accept that fact, rather than hiding behind it to save my career. However, here you have a choice. I doubt you and Huma have a loving relationship.

And I would hope your friendship isn't as deep as mine and Luthien's, but if that is the case, then so be it. I would gladly admire your courage in accepting that fact. Instead of sidestepping it.

Ok Rolo, leave Magnus alone. He wants to be my friend, let him. *I* got the cattle prod, I made the insults, he isn't on trial here, *I* am...yell at me.

All right, I though I've seen everything until right now.

Why in the world should a man be chastised for wanting his friend to win?? This one takes the cake. Personally, I find a lot wrong with what Huma brought to the boards, but I'll make it no secret that I want him to win.
Ok, go ahead, strike me down for wanting someone to win...seems to be the trend going on around here. I am appalled by this more than anything I have ever seen come through this place in the short one and a half years I've been here.
Hm... I think I am going to remember this one, so I can jump on anyone else's back for wanting someone else to win a challenge match. Maybe you all just need to lighten up a little.

Magnus.. "He is a friend, and by making one or two bad choices won't change that...but should it?" As long as you expected to have a disrespectful, rude, shell of a once decent man as a friend, of course there's nothing wrong. But, if you expected him to have a hint of honor or courage, and respect in any form for the Duel of Swords or its patrons, or life in general, I think you should see if you can get your
money back.

Well said, Lucian.

Magnus, Cletus,

Take what Lucian said, then add the following:

You are saying that you would rather have a friend who has shown disregard for the traditions, histories, etc, of this sport than your honorable enemy? Am I the only one, besides Lucian, that sees the error in that?

I tell you what, when I was a loyal Baron, I was happy to see some loyals lose their titles, even friends of mine lose their titles. Simply because I felt they were not living up to the standards a Baron should. I didn't root for them, but I didn't exactly root against them either. And since I was powerless as a Baron to do anything but influence someone to challenge, then I just played it cool, not announcing my stance on all of it.

You, on the other hand, have announced your stance on it. And are completely backing what you believe to be a dishonorable challenge.

So be it.

Again here,

Anyone else sick to death of Jonalyn yet?

I've got a fine supply of nice dry cedar in store...we could do what we seem to do best in this community and band together and burn her like a witch.

Oh...no? Darn woulda been fun.

Far as I'm concerned....Huma, I've been your friend for a long time now, so do what your gonna do and do it right. Other than your presentation of it, I see no problems here.

Cheers,
~Adonai
