Well dueled. You, unlike one of your nameless sycophant, are able to show respect for a worthy apponent that had a very off night.
Kappy,
I blame myself in part for your loss. When you second and man of honor fail to show, it is indeed a blow upon a persons concentration. Your skill is only equaled by a few in this sport
and although you lost, you and I know that that was not you in the ring that night.
Snapper Head,
I won't take the bait, if that's what you're trying. I will however let you in on one simple truth.
Should I choose to become overlord, there is not one person in the sport today that will stop me. When I am focused on a goal, I am unbeatable. This includes the current, past and first overlord. I mean no disrepect to Unagi when I say this, I merely state a fact as certain as the setting of the sun and the changing of the tides. When you have something of value to take, I will demonstrate it for you personally.

I just have to inquire about this statement. Just how was it a victory for the people of the Duels? Kaprielle is an honorable woman and her victory would not have been a defeat for the Duels or for RhyDin. Nor does the defense of the highest title in this particular sport affect either the other duels or RhyDin in the larger sense. This was a victory for Unagi, a very impressive victory which he fought for with the highest skill and accepted with
the highest honor for his opponent and the most simple modesty for himself.
It is all very well that one wishes to compliment a fine duelist who won a fine victory. However, one should not impute more importance to such a victory than it actually possesses. Despite the ambitions of many duelists, the titles of this sport mean very little outside of this sport. Likewise, Kaprielle's victory would not have been a defeat for the sport.
The true victory for the sport will occur when we can compliment the winner without attempting to pander to his ego by giving his success more importance than it possesses, and yet all the respect it deserves.

Very well defended. I am impressed by your show of skill, and also I wish to congratulate you on fortune's favor.

It was gallantly tried. Fortune is a fickle mistress, and apparently she loved Unagi more the night of your duel. Nonetheless, I congratulate you.
