My objection has not one thing to do with your publicly posted message. I see you pretend that what you SAY is irrelevant, and only what you write is important.
Lady Starfare was good enough to inform me of the details of your conversation with her. Now, if you wish to call her a liar, I suppose that's your prerogative, but she made it quite clear - among other things - that you are of the arrogant opinion that you have some sort of right to that which neither you nor your predecessors conceived, constructed, or EVER maintained.
Should you be unclear as to the matters I specifically object to, let me aid you. Each of these points directly related to your conversation with Lady Starfare:
1) You showed not the least bit of concern for showing the most basic of courtesies. A simple communique asking if I would consent to removing the locks on my skybox in order that you might engage in repairs would have more than sufficed; instead, you quite clearly told Lady Starfare that you would "get around the locks." I understand that the foul, idiocy-ridden cesspool in which your establishment is located is devoid of law, but in any other
civilized society, that is commonly referred to as "breaking and entering."
2) Your attempt to excuse these statements by handwaving away the objection based on my "not having been around for years" was laughable. Perhaps you can speak with your father; he himself saw me in the arena not but a few weeks ago, and I have dropped in a few times since then. Were you truly so desperate for excuses that you felt the need to flatly lie?
3) Most objectionable is your asinine assertion that if I have a problem with you suggesting breaking into and altering MY property, I should come talk to you about it. No, sir. If you wished to break into and alter my property, it was incumbent upon you to speak with me.
Of course, I have now done you the kindness of having to consider such moral issues, having by deed voluntarily terminated the rights granted me to build the damn thing in the first place, back in the dark ages before even your father was around. You, of course, are now free to do whatever you wish with the vacated space.
Understand this: Not only would I have had no objection had you not been such an arrogant little whelp and expressed that you had no need to even ask my consent; I would even have financed the work myself, securing expert labor to undertake the task properly. I also do not believe that you, or any other person, should bow to every petty whim of every person who has ever held influence in this community.
However, expecting you to show common, basic respect for another's work and/or property is not a "petty whim." It's something everyone - from myself, to the current overlord, to your employees, to the rankest of commoners - has EVERY RIGHT to expect from you. If you cannot manage the miniscule effort to show it, then, sir, I submit that you're in the wrong line of work. Unless, of course, you WISH to be seen as a dictatorial martinet.
Lastly... "Lord Rex," indeed. Surely you cannot come into this position with so little knowledge of its history that you do not know who I am, and that "Rex" is not part of my name. Perhaps one of the many Romans in our community might see fit to inform you as the the meaning of my signature; in the meantime, if you wish to address me in similar fashion, please have the common sense to use either "Lord Ian" or "Lord MacKenzie." (I'm not arrogant
enough to expect "Your Highness" as address from you, given that you are neither a subject, nor are you addressing me in my court.)

And to me, Ian did the Arena a favor by removing the skyboxes. Get new ones with bucket seats! Of course, it was no surprise to me at all that he would take it thus far; destroying skyboxes and all.
Anyway, I don't see any real brilliant point Ian is actually making, so, please Val... I'm here to chip in with any problems you have.

Well, I must admit I know nothing of this situation. All I will say is common sense.
If I contract someone to build an addition to my cottage, and then choose later to put pictures up in that room, there is nothing wrong. Or if I decide later to burn the addition to the house, nothing is wrong. Sure it is someone else's work, but I did pay for the work.
Now I said I know nothing of the situation. I don't know if the Arena paid for the boxes or what. But had they, then I would think them to be their property.
I guess I am just looking for more information on the original contract.

I believe the missing piece here is that "Rex" is a title, rather than a name. Roughly translating - and forgive me if this is not the correct term for I am using the only reference I know, which is my own language- to Lord "King" when Val states Lord Rex.
Perhaps harsh words have been stated on both sides, perhaps not, but there is clearly a miscommunication.
I humbly submit that a one on one chat with both the major parties would clear up the situation one way or the other.
Paper does no justice to emotion.

At no time did the management of this arena pay me one cent for the construction of the skybox. In an oral agreement, a former owner of the Inn as well as the Arena, granted me permission to build the structure and maintain ownership of it.

Perhaps we're not all well acquainted with the latin language, but I believe it in poor form to speak down upon someone for a minor mistake like "Lord Rex."
He "proposed" a change in the skyboxes. Perhaps if you were to be an individual and actually tell him flatly who owned and what not, that it would save a lot of trouble. Instead, you went on to remove the skyboxes. I believe you exaggerated the situation or handled it rather poorly.

This, again, is something which Lady Starfare pointed out; I'll remind you that Lord Valentine's response was, "I'll get around them." How would you feel, Lord Starke, if I decided I'd "get around" the locks on the front door of your home, or any other property you own? Am I, then, supposed to even WISH to deal with an unscrupulous character who suggests that breaking and entering is not only acceptable, but that he intends to do it?

through the outcry is as simple as the fact the community grows tired of your self portrayed omniscient, omnipotent, status. Your accomplishments will be well remembered, Lord Mackenzie, and you, as well, will be remembered. With a warm heart by many, but by most of this day it will be a memory of an acrid fruit, turned sour over the years. The skyboxes shall likely be rebuilt, stronger, fancier, and a new history will be born. This simply cut a

Had any noticed the Baron at the boards, they would have seen him flipping to and from that same post many a times. Obviously debating whether he should pen a response or not. They also would have seen Rix simply walk away from the boards with a shake of his head.
