Sara was deeply affected by her mother's death. Memories haunted her and threatened to take over her whole existance. The first two days of her travels were well spent in a grief stricken state, in the woods. The black bark of the trees were fitting and matched her moods. Solitude found itself a place to dwell.
On the third day, she awoke rather abruptly to find herself surrounded by a group of bandits. She realized that she had been away from Toril for so long that studying spells was no longer second nature to her. The only defense at her disposal was her staff. She grabbed it with moves that were slow as to not bring notice. she stood to confront the group.
Sara assessed the group. She was determined to stake out the leader. Her eyes settled on the best dressed of the bandit. She turned to him.
"I have not a thing of value...just me staff and the clothes on me back."
He looked her over. " Ye have a few rings upon ye fingers...Hand them over and we shall leave ye be."
"I can nae give up these rings...Both are cursed and would bring you nothin for ye trouble."
The man grew angry at these words. False. The expression on his face told her that he disbelieved. He grabbed for her. Her training in the arena had come in handy. She stepped aside and readied a fighting stance. She held her staff in both hands. He drew his sword and swung low toward her legs. She used her staff to block the blow and moved in to strike high which caught him upside the head. While he shook off the stinge, she managed to run away from the group. She ran deeper into the woods.
She continued running throughout most of the day, until exhaustion mastered her senses and physical control.
She woke with the first rays of the new day. Realizing then that she needed to remember all that she had hoped to forget when she left her home world. She needed to remember the magic skills that she had hoped to never need again, but without the magic she alone would never make it to the Spine of the World. She took out her worn and tattered spell book and began the long process of commiting to memory all the arcane symbols.. After many hours of study, she needed to sleep.
Waking again at dawn, this time prepared for anything, she set out again on her long journey.
Baby Shower.

::Sara traveled for many days without any incidents. The spells that she committed to memory would stay with her until she cast them, and as of yet, she had not needed them. The closer she got to the mountains, the more likely it was that she would encounter bandits, orcs or, other hideous monsters. She savored the need of spell-casting for these oppositions.
Every day of travel brought her closer to her goal but it also wielded cooler temperatures and stonger winds. There would be snow in the mountains by the time she got there. Her search would kindle itself harder, if not completely impossible.
A week alone in the woods had helped to fine-tune all of her senses. Her vision had reverted back to the infrarred spectrum which was needed in the dark woods at night. Her hearing, which had finally started to adjust to the noise of the arena, was becoming quite sensitive again. She was able to regain most of her stealth and moved through the woods with practiced ease and silence.
After a week's travel through woods and marshes, away from people, she noticed smoke in the distant sky. Cautiously, she moved closer to investigate the origin of the smoke. From the top of a small hill, she saw a campfire surrounded by a dozen or so figures appearing to be human size, but unsurety countered with the distance still yet far. She decided to wait until night to round and access the small camp.
Keeping close so to not lose track of the camp, like a shadow, she blended into her surroundings. Silently, she passed through one sentry unnoticed. She had not gotten far when she fell to the ground with a thud. The camp heard the noise. The sound of many feet headed her way. However, consciousness beheld and the noise became naught to her senses. ::
