Esteemed ones:

If my math serves me correctly, 'twould seem you've all decided to remove the Baron's title, by majority rule. Without counting on my fingers, I think you've also decided to appoint a Champion. Will tha' be yuir next course of action?

Kindly,

Seamus, you ask if our next step is to appoint a champion. I believe this is the case and am waiting for the overseer to move us on. A few have stepped up to offer their services already. I can't see this discussion lasting much longer.

Baron Favre,
Please don't misunderstand my questioning. I have no desire to see this matter rushed nor do I wish to attempt to sway this council. My questions a purely for my own information and any that may not understand the workings of our rules.
My thanks to you all for the time you have devote on this matter.
Respectfully,
Seamus Mac Donnaugh

I wasn't misunderstanding at all. Just giving my own thoughts. The matter certainly isn't being rushed, but I just don't see it taking that long to get done.

If needs be, I too offer my services in defense of Baron Oakenshield's ring. Jeff was and is one of my closest friends and he chose the Sixth after we had a discussion the night of the Warlord's Tourney we both took part in. I'm more than willing to step in on his behalf and defend one of the Rings we both held.

While I could be wrong, I don't think it was anyone's intention to belittle a duelist whose status in the Arena is practically that of an icon. I do think some people have expressed a certain amount of bitterness at the fact that this icon's attitude towards the Arena has soured. Personally, I cannot blame them. At the same time, I cannot blame Jeff for feelings I myself still possess to a certain extent.
Personally, I think that Jeff's failure to answer his challenge should be dealt with. I think that Warlord Tidewater's peer wins should be returned to him and he should retain his right to challenge and that the ring should be placed in the Tourney. Of course, these opinions hold no weight in Council. I just feel the need to express them.
