"Where the *hell* have you been??! I thought you set me up!" The words were said very slowly and carefully in her mind as she wasn't really used to talking there.. plus she was still a bit out of it.
"Hush for now, we've got to work quickly. Now where was those stick things you were playing with?"
"Right hip, other side. Bring them up closer so I can see."
The moving around of his furry little body didn't bother her on the fact that he was just a little too personal, the rope bothered her more than he at the moment.. It was the tiny claws that tickled like hell as they pricked into the latex for support. Her toe was barely balancing her to keep her from losing too much air, but her mind was getting hazy again.
"Now what?" The beady little eyes looked up at her with the top of her freedom so close at hand. Her lips formulated words, but her toe had slipped at the last moment causing her to close off her air stream and startle Belzare. The bamboo container went tumbling.
The two gaurds had been conversing with the older man as if deciding when and how gruesome her fate should be. Both, still behind her, was oblivious to her struggles until the container landed. It had landed on end, sticking up as if it were a dart holding itself up. It posed no threat, being a long slender thing with two rubber ends and could easily be dismissed as another one of her possessions. They laughed.
She regained breath struggling fiercly to keep her hold on life and when silvers opened, she screamed the best her raw throat would let her.

The workings of those weapons was really quite simple.. when broken in half the two end collaborate.. when not, and the whole stick was dropped as it had been, the tips penetrate the object and work on a set of vibrations, starting low and getting faster in frequency until the object literally imploded.
She was losing ground fast, and in her mind, the sun had already set and nightfall was on the horizon. The explosion had taken care of the gaurds and knocked the old man out, but only had stalled Caedia's death sentance. It hadn't reached high enough to take the whole object down and the remaining part held on just enough to strangle her.
Belzare moved quickly, coming out of his confines to scurry up her arm and start chewing on the frayed ends of the rope that the explosion had left. Through quick work, but almost not quick enough, he finally chewed through the last and she fell to the ground panting. Too weak to stand up, she merely dragged herself along the ground and winced at the horse that had come from somewhere. She thought she was dead.
"Get on!" It was Belzare and his shapeshifting again. She didn't have enough energy to do much but slowly pull herself up to a stand.. up onto a wooden chunk and drape herself over him. She held on for dear life and kept her eyes closed. Sometime when the galloping had downsized into a trot, she lost conciousness once more.

She came to once more to find herself back in the room where she had began, a woman was humming to herself while off somewhere. Silvers opened to try and see and was pleased to find his mother cleaning and bustling around rather happily. When she saw Caedia's eyes, she went to the door and shouted down the hall something that Caedia didn't understand save for the urgency. She hurried back to the bedside and placed
her hand on Caedia's forehead and smiled down at her.
"Well well, good morning Sade. Nice to see you up and smiling." The voice so familiar now made her shiver a last time before realizing she had been smiling at the woman.
"What's wrong with me?" She felt heavy still and her right leg pained her with every muscle twitch.
"Your neck is healing fine and will probably not even carry scars. Your leg however, it took the most damage as mother has been pulling wood out of it for the past two days."
She closed her eyes again disbelieving that she could have been out that long and marveling at the fact that she hadn't even felt the pain of the explosion. When she lifted up her arm to brush the hair back from her face, she started at the silver that wrapped around her bare arm and looked up to Belzare. He merely grinned.
"They never take things off a person until they are fully dead. I've got my bracelet safe. As soon as you are well, I will see you home."
"Belzare?" He stopped from his turning and sighed.. he knew what the question was, it was inevitable.
"The bracelet I wanted so much is called the Starfire in your language. It brings life. I lost my wife and daughter.. and with that bracelet, another can bring them back." His shoulders slumped and head rolled forward with his weariness at having such a long journey.. he walked out.
She was released as soon as her leg could support her, half relieved of being able to go home, and half of being able to eat normal food. Still limping on her right side, she waved goodbye to the two, mother and son, as they watched her head back into the woods she was now growing accustomed to. Belzare had made her close her eyes again and had transported her there, and nothing ever felt better. She had wished them luck and wondered in her own
way.. but somehow knew she would never find out what really happened.
The silver bracelet was still anchored on her arm and remained cold no matter what she tried to do. She loved it, if nothing for decoration and proudly displayed it as she made her way towards the Outback.. after all, it was dueling night.
