"P.S. Put a cork in it. Your obtrusive insults have become quite tiresome."
Why was this written so small? Do you not have enough conviction behind your command to warrant readable words?
If you want to say something, say it bravely and take responsibility that what you write will likely have someone respond to it and not always so favorably.

To whomever wrote this,
I was always taught that a postscript, it shouldn't always be written as big for it usually isn't as "important" or "significant" as the prescript. Perhaps I should have reversed what was written in pre and post script, but I do have enough conviction, thank you. Also, if I hadn't wanted to take responsibility for my words, do you think I would have signed the missive? Please do note that you didn't sign your missive, which means you haven't, yet,
taken responsibility for your words. Do I sense hypocrisy?
Sincerely,
Lily Lesprit

Cristian de Oro
Tis mayhap a matter of semantics, Master de Oro. Perhaps thou art misconstruing me meaning. I shall reiterate. Tis thou who seems to construe my comments ast grouping mischallenges and dishonesty with the choice of venue wherein one chooses to duel. Indeed the first two are reprehensibile, the third a matter of personal choice. Again, I didst state I found no malice in the Baron Magnus' choice of the Isle of Twilight wherein to meet his
challenges, merely dishonor in that a Baron of the Blade wouldst eschew the ancient rings. I construe his choice ast disdain for the community.
Master de Oro, I respectfully disagree with thine comment to whit: ...so to should it be a right that they shall meet no bias by those who partake of this sport." Would thee then hae the community silent, Master de Oro, meekly accepting anna personage who casts down the gauntlet? Wouldst hae the community become unthinking, unfeeling, mindless drones? Indeed, Master de Oro, I am curious ast to that comment in particular and should be most pleased
to discuss thine statement further and privately. Thou may, if thee wish, apprise me by private missive, at thine convenience, a time and place. I should be most interested in learning your views on the matter.
Ast to the moving of the Baron Magnus' matches to the Isle of Twilight, if I recall t'was the Baron's brother, Cletus who didst state that the Baron sought thereby to honor his mother. I simply reiterated said statement. I have, upon a few occasions visited the Isle, and indeed find the ambiance refreshing, much ast I find the rough and tumble doings in the Outback, refreshing. Master de Oro, quite plainly, I should hope the Isle of Twilight ist
nae o'errun and infested by such ast frequent the dueling house of late.
Thee aire certes welcome to thine opinion in that thee consider the choice of a Baron of the Blade to meet his challengers upon the Isle of Twilight a welcome change of tradition. I do trust thee shall permit me mine opinion that the Baron who e'en now seeks the Crown of Supreme Duelist, nae of the staff of Arch Mage, I might add, dost dishonor his ring and the community with his show of disdain. Now, perhaps the Baron ist making a statement by his
choice of venue, if that be the case, tis verra obscure, nae e'en obtuse.
The Baron hast already stated he felt his brother, Cletus was "cheated" of his challenge a while agon, and didst state this among his reasons for issuing challenge. In fact his brother didst issue improper challenge and wast rightly denied. Thee shall pardon me if I find the Baron Magnus statement additional reason to ponder the merits of this Baron's sense of honor.
I must say, I find thine comment "Perhaps it is the hatred reverberating through the dueling Arena that has so lowered the lofty ideals of this sport..." interesting. Hatred ist a destructive emotion, sir, one I hae long since learned to eschew. I am, however, nae immune to the emotion of disgust, nor that of sadness, nor that of pity, nor that of anger, when I come across comments by those who do hold title and who seemingly condone dishonesty
then seek to champion it. I, for one, wouldst nae wish such a man to hold the title of Supreme Duelist.

<<No, the gods have not given me authority, only an opinion and the right to express it.>>
That is a most amusing statement. Ist it now thine claim that thine opinion is "god given" and further that the gods have granted unto thee special dispensation to express it? How droll, Madame, one would have thought thee were old enough to think for thineself and nae need the assistance of the "gods" in forming an opinion nor of being in need of beseeching the "gods" to grant thee leave to express one.<<
Actually no, that isn't what I said, though I'm not surprised that you'd twist my words. Having an opinion and the right to express it is "god given", not the specific opinion that I might hold.
>>Madame, certes thee aire aware, with thine oh so marvelous breeding, that pointing fingers is, at the very least, an ill-mannered display.<<
Aye, I would have hoped that you would have known that, but as much of the community has seen, you do not.
>>I am nae acquainted with people who chose to live in glass houses, tis an extravagance in which I hae yet to indulge, nor do I make it a habit of flinging other than an occasional pewter mug at the ancient bell over the bar.<<
Lovely. Wonderful. Nicely dodged.
>>Now, thine comment that I wouldst have anna interest in thine life borders on sheer insanity. Dost think so highly of thineself that thee truly can conceive that I wouldst give a fig ast to your doings?<<
Your actions speak volumes. If you wanted to pretend not to care about my life, you would have never tried to publicly post my past even when it has no bearing on the discussion at hand. How many times have I seen from you the words, "Was it not thee who..."?
>>If memory serves me correctly, the only one doing any digging into ones life wast you with your meddlesome, ill conceived, unwanted and unwarranted intrusions into the lives of my husband and myself and into the internal affairs of the kingdom of Westridge;<<
As I said, pulling tidbits of history out of the air. And since they are history, you see fit in twisting them to your own devises. What has happened outside the Arena has no bearing on discussions concerning the Arena, especially far-fetched stories about past events that have nothing to do with the Sport.
>>in very much the same manner ast thee aire now intruding thineself into the lives Noelle and Var Medici-Giovanni.<<
When Noelle makes public accusations and Var conducts public spin-doctoring, it is not a private affair.
>>This particular trait of yuirs goes back years. If memory serves me correctly, thee made such a habit in thine last life ast well.<<
Once again, making comments about subjects that are none of your concern and then trying to pretend that you do not do your damndest to dig into my life.
>>The above ist nigh onto the most hypocritical comment thee have e'er made, Madame, though I have little doubt thee shall endeavor to exceed thineself at some future date. Thou hast nae the wit to determine a private affair from a public matter ast thee have shown time and time again.<<
What I deem public and private is my choice. You seem to become very long-winded when others voice an opinion that you do not agree with. And you wonder at my senility. Then again, I thought you didn't care.
>>Be thee now setting thineself thineself up ast judge and jury?<<
If the expression of my opinion offends you so, kindly flip past my missives.
>>Deja vu, Madame and oh so typical of thee. Perhaps thou wilst elucidate upon exactly what "just deserts" thee wouldst dish out, Madame?<<
Not me per se, but those who have been hurt by Noelle. I would assume that the "just deserts" are up to them.
>>Oh, do pardon me, ist this one of thine "god given" rights, taking it upon thineself to decide what ist just and isna just?<<
Not at all, but I won't stop you from having your opinion that this is true. Delusion fits you well.
>>I doubt thee hae e'en considered the possibilty that thee hae wronged the Lady Noelle and have perhaps succumbed to the gossip, innuendo and slander dished by certain "ladies", and then set on the caisson, ast the loose cannon thee aire well known to be, to shout to the rafters that your
friends have been wronged.<<
No, I do not believe I have wronged Noelle. Having been the target of one of the many occasions where she's made accusations, baseless insults, etc, and having seen a few of them with my own eyes, I know exactly what she is capable of, and I need not get my information second hand.
>>Madame, I have seen you led astray too many times to count or to take seriously any thing thee might claim. Tis a wonder thee hae nae permanently damaged thine feet, leaping to so oft to conclusions.<<
I do not claim to be perfect, but I am right in at least this one thing. Whether you agree with me or not is your choice. One would have hoped that you'd make a calm, coherent post before pulling out your list of adjectives to slap upon me, such as "senile, insane, illbred, etc." Let's just hope you get original soon, aye?
>>Madame, no one is "too old" to look a fool and thee certes have a record of "doing" things, most of which are merely annoyances at best and certes of little or no consequence in the grand scheme of things.
<<
Ah, so you have developed a new adjective for me. The care you take in procuring a new word for me is heartwarming.
>>Madame Elgarett, it comes ast nae surprise thee wouldst wonder at anything. Thine grasp of the language ist rudimentary at best ast hast been demonstrated by thee upon numerous occasions. I most assuredly know the meaning of the words "ill breeding", I have had the dubious distinction of knowing thee. Had I been ignorant of the meaning of the words, rest assured thee define them quite exactly.<<
Why is it when you cannot come up with a coherant answer, you revert to name calling? Is this what you would call "good breeding"?
>>Madame Elgarette, thee wouldna know a "fact" if it leaped in front of thee and thee tripped over it. I can assure thee I have a normal tongue, nae scales, nae fangs and most certes nae a tail, nor do I slither, save against my husband.<<
If you do not wish to be seen as a viper, do not act as one.
>>Thee aire of the type that believes if thee say it enough thee shall find someone ast gullible ast thee who shall believe thee. I seem to recall thee accepting ast "fact" a personage claiming to be Phlag.
Indeed thee didst go so far ast welcoming him with a cordial greeting upon this verra corkboard, when, in "fact" t'was nae Phlag but an impostor.<<
Strange, I don't remember this having anything to do with the subject. Perhaps you could quit dodging and start discussing?
>>Thee and I aire well aware of more than one instance in which thine senses were easily deceived. Tis likely thine senses hae nae sharpened with age, Madame.
<<
For someone who doesn't care, you seem to want to know so much about me.
>>Madame Elgarette, ast usual thine "facts" aire muddled. I am Madame Starfare.<<
Then act like it. Act like someone worthy of Gavilean's love, not a muddling harridan that would rather sit in the Arena passing judgement than be at home and take care of her husband. Don't bother replying, for I already know what you would say. No, I do not think that *I* myself am worthy of Gav's love. That was gone a long time ago and has nothing to do with the present.
>>Tis nae surprise thee wouldst seem to forget that, tis another sign of thine creeping senility nae doubt. I wast a nameless waif, and Nenshen ist the name given me by the man who served ast mentor and godfather to me during my minority. I hae nae claimed the upbringing thee hast, Madame.<<
If this is so, why do you try to portray yourself as well-bred and "holier than thou"?
>>If I am nae mistaken thee hast claimed a noble pedigree and lineage.<<
I have never "claimed" anything. In fact, I have never felt that my parentage was a factor in this community.
>>Perhaps it ist thine nose that shouldst be lowered, Madame, for I hae nae e'er claimed other than humble birth and upbringing.<<
Once again, you prove to the Community that you don't have a clue what the phrase "actions speak louder than words" means.
>>Madame Elgarette, again thine grasp of "facts" deserts thee. I have been upon a battlefield, indeed, I have left my blood upon the soil of two lands and found nothing in the least amusing in the experience.<<
It was a figure of speach. Another thing you do not know the meaning of.
>>Madame, I can assure thee I do not take thee or thine melodramatic declarations seriously.<<
Then don't read my figures of speach.
>>Hollow threats and melodramatic stridence ist what ist to be expected of thee and ist vastly amusing. If it were nae for thine comedic factor, I would take no note of thee at all.<<
Good. I'll try not to be comedic if you try to take no note of me.
>>Since it has already been well established that thine sanity is fragile and thee hae proven time and again that patience ist nae among thine virtures, I should suggest thee seek out a capable wig maker, thee mayhap shall find thee aire in need. In fact, thee might wish to secure an apothecary to obtain the henna needed to maintain thine coloring.<<
Why should I do such a thing? Hiding my age as if I'm ashamed of it? I think not.
>>Thee dinna age gracefully or well, Madame Elgarette. If I were to ponder it in a chance moment, I wouldst say thee behave much like an withered old woman approaching fifty who ist trying to convince herself she is yet but a slip of a girl of twenty.<<
That's your opinion. However, the only opinion I care for is Dal's, and I'm sure he'd tell you different.
>>I have taken notice of those in the community to which thee refer, Madame, and I must say, many of them, much ast thee, aire of little note, less intelligence and e'en less consequence.
<<
I'm sure the elves, immortals and other such beings (the ones I was refering to as being "hundreds of years older than me") would much appreciate your sentiment.
>>Madame, we again come full circle and thine hypocrisy ist showing. Wouldst have it that only thee aire permitted comments, statements and opinions, or that thee hae the authority to instruct anyone to "cease, desist, stop"?<<
You must have missed the "please" in my statement. I am not instructing or commanding, I am requesting.
>>Madame, tis seeming that thine foot hast reached thine mouth, do open wide and accomodate it, for thee do look rather foolish in that particular posture. I do believe that may be the fifty third or perhaps fifty fourth time thee hast instructed someone to hush. Perhaps thee wouldst consider taking a new tack, though in all honesty, thine repetitiveness ist the one constant to which thee may lay valid claim.<<
Madam, honesty is not a word you should be pretending to know the meaning to. But, anyway, I tire of this bandying back and forth. We've obviously gone beyond the point I was making. I no longer care one whit what Var does in reaction to Noelle's actions, and I have never cared one whit about your baseless words, other than the fact that it gives me something to kill time.
There's a prayer that I heard from one of the Christian faith which I plan on repeating to myself, concerning Var and Noelle.
Lord, give me the courage to change the things I can, the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, and the wisdom to know the difference.
I cannot change them, so I'll have to accept it.

To address the subject of my 'miscontruing' your recent series of comments, it is very difficult to consider your claim that I am misconstruing valid when you did, just days ago, add this changing of dueling venue to your rather long list of the problems of this Arena. You claimed it dishonored the Arena and perhaps even descecrated the dueling house. You did at one point claim that you had just listed all of these wrongs as to emphasize the
horrid 'traditions' the newer generation of duelists have brought about... so too, did it seem, at least to me and I'm sure a few others, did you consider the change of venue to be a horrid new 'tradition'.
Just as I may have misconstrued your true meaning here (I will not consider myself in the 'right' on the above paragraph), so too may you have misconstrued the Baron's. Do you truly believe his want to duel on the Island of Magic is a display of disdain for the community? Perhaps we should wait to hear the words from his own mouth before we construe his choices as such.
I would not have the community silent, Jonalyn Starfare. Nor would I have it unthinking, unfeeling, or mindless. Frankly, I would have this place no other way than it is at present. But it was your claims that it is every duelist's right to not face bias within the governing bodies of the Arena... as unattainable as it may sound, if the above were the case, so too should they be allowed to challenge without having the community misconstrue their
meanings or hound and berate them for mistakes or misunderstandings. It is no surprise to me that sainted few Warlords will now place their 'bonafides' upon this corkboard. Time and time again I have watched these Warlords be continually jeered for their choices of opponents or lack of valid wins. I think we can both agree that it is the job of those that do validate the wins to catch invalid challenges... not the members of the community. Were
it up to us as a community, I'm sure there would be countless votes in favor of the public stoning of mischallengers. Thus, it is no surprise that Warlords would now be wary to place their peer duels in public view. In my opinion, it is a sad day when challengers are wary of putting their peers to the public... it speaks of an underlying mistrust of the community and perhaps even the fear of being harshly judged by peers.
You are certainly entitled to your opinion, Jonalyn... I would never seek to tell you that you aren't. But, again, just as I may have miscontrued the true meaning of your posts (both in the present and the past), so too may you have misconstrued the true meaning of the Baron's choice of venue. While he may feel his brother was cheated out of a challenge, well... that is certainly his opinion, just as you state yours. If he wishes to challenge for
such, then by all means, he shall go ahead with it. It does not mark him as dishonorable, though perhaps misguided... nor does his wish to hold a sword duel on the Island of Magic immediately dictate him as disdainful toward the community. I will withhold my opinion toward that effect until I hear him claim that he disdains this community... perhaps what he truly disdains, is what this community has become and he seeks challenge in order to change
it. Again, this is just conjecture... I obviously could not know his true meaning... nor could you. And this is the reason I will not judge him and it so bothers me that you do so right now.
With politics inherent in this sport, dishonesty abounds... if you have any ideas on how to escape the lure of dishonesty in politics, perhaps we may sit down and discuss that as well; in all my years, I have been unable to find any plausible method of separating dishonesty from politics. I would believe that the man is championing what he considers to be right: his side of the coin. Some would consider him unworthy, he considers himself worthy.
It is this that is the true right of all duelists here... the right to press challenge for what they believe is right or worthy or meaningful. It is one traditional right, I am not afraid to say, I hope will never change.

Cris,
As a Warlord who has recently made challenge, I can tell you why I did not make my list of peer wins public. If you truly wish to know.
It has nothing to do with 'fear' or 'mistrust.' It rather has its origins in modesty, discretion, and good manners. I see no reason to gloat over victories and belittle opponents as some Warlords have been wont to do in recent challenges, posting their peer wins with a certain gleeful sadism that can be matched only by a very few. Those on my list know who they are, and I have no need to remind them.
Likewise, I have no need to post such wins to feel better about myself. Nor do I believe that anyone who needs to see these same wins to like or respect me is worthy enough of my notice to satisfy their desires. Such a list is a matter between myself, the people I defeated, and the standings keeper. By simple ettiquette, she whom I challenged and the other Barons, the Overlord, and the Supervisor did also receive the list.
I have a great deal of respect for the community, and very little who take it on themselves to 'speak for the community' when they are merely doing so in the name of exalting their own mean spirited and bitter opinions. If anyone feels the overwhelming need to see a list of my peer wins, they are welcome to broach the matter with me. However, the community deserves a challenge, not a feeding frenzy as certain less satisfied elements compete to
preach to the choir.

The gods did hear the pleas of the people and, in their mercy, did answer the prayers. His arrival was not harkened by clouds of smoke or the clash of thunder. One moment he was not there, and in the next, he was. The brown robed figure glided to the cork boards and set about his grim task.
Thine selective memory seems to have gone into overdrive, Madame. Oh, that is a technological term, perhaps thee shall need instruction in its meaning. Do ask, for there yet remain some few who understand the meaning. Despite thine wishing and saying tis so, I have nae deigned to tell folk to hush nor sought to squelch the voicing of any opinion or comments. I am certain thee canna say the same thing. I find it e'en more amusing that thee
claim to be an authority upon what I wish. I am certain I have yet to indulge in that particular pasttime, nor do I employ me skills ast an adept in that particular area nor am I likely to express what I may wish to thee.
Translation: Your selective memory seems to have gone into overdrive, Madame. Oh, that is a technological term, perhaps you will need to find out what it means. Do ask, because there are a few people who still understand what it [overdrive] means. No matter how much you wish, or say, it is so, I haven't told anyone to shut up or to keep their opinions to themselves. I don't think you
can say the same. I think it's funny that you think you know what I want. I don't go around doing that, and I never told you what I wanted.
Secondary Translation: Nyah, Nyah, did not either, so there.
That is a most amusing statement. Ist it now thine claim that thine opinion is "god given" and further that the gods have granted unto thee special dispensation to express it? How droll, Madame, one would have thought thee were old enough to think for thineself and nae need the assistance of the "gods" in forming an opinion nor of being in need of beseeching the "gods" to grant thee leave to express one.
Translation: That is an amusing statement. Do you now claim that your opinions were given to you by the gods and also that they gave you the right to express it? One would have thought that you were old enough to think for yourself, and would not need the assistance of the gods to form an opinion or to express it.
Secondary Translation: I knew what you meant, but I decided to interpret in a nasty way. That will teach you to take more care with how you word things, so there.
Madame, certes thee aire aware, with thine oh so marvelous breeding, that pointing fingers is, at the very least, an ill-mannered display. I am nae acquainted with people who chose to live in glass houses, tis an extravagance in which I hae yet to indulge, nor do I make it a habit of flinging other than an occasional pewter mug at the ancient bell over the bar.
Translation: Madam, surely you are aware, since you are so well bred, that pointing fingers is bad manners. I don't know anyone who lives in a glass house, it's awfully extravagant so, I stay away from them. The only time I throw anything is when I toss a mug at the old bell over the bar.
Secondary Translation: Hey! Don't call me down for calling names when you did it too!
Now, thine comment that I wouldst have anna interest in thine life borders on sheer insanity. Dost think so highly of thineself that thee truly can conceive that I wouldst give a fig ast to your doings? If memory serves me correctly, the only one doing any digging into ones life wast you with your meddlesome, ill conceived, unwanted and unwarranted intrusions into the lives of my husband and myself and into the internal affairs of the
kingdom of Westridge; in very much the same manner ast thee aire now intruding thineself into the lives Noelle and Var Medici-Giovanni. This particular trait of yuirs goes back years. If memory serves me correctly, thee made such a habit in thine last life ast well.
Translation: Your comment that I would have any interest in your life is almost nuts. Do you really think that you're so hot that I would care what you do? As I recall, it was you who poked your nose into my life, and now you're doing the same thing to Noelle and Var. You've been doing this for years. As I recall, you did the same thing during your last life. COLOR="#000000" SIZE=3 PTSIZE=10>
Secondary Translation: Did not! But you did!
The above ist nigh onto the most hypocritical comment thee have e'er made, Madame, though I have little doubt thee shall endeavor to exceed thineself at some future date. Thou hast nae the wit to determine a private affair from a public matter ast thee have shown time and time again. Be thee now setting thineself thineself up ast judge and jury? Deja vu, Madame and oh so typical of thee. Perhaps thou wilst elucidate upon exactly what "just
deserts" thee wouldst dish out, Madame? Oh, do pardon me, ist this one of thine "god given" rights, taking it upon thineself to decide what ist just and isna just? I doubt thee hae e'en considered the possibilty that thee hae wronged the Lady Noelle and have perhaps succumbed to the gossip, innuendo and slander dished by certain "ladies", and then set on the caisson, ast the loose cannon thee aire well known to be, to shout to the rafters that your
friends have been wronged. Madame, I have seen you led astray too many times to count or to take seriously any thing thee might claim. Tis a wonder thee hae nae permanently damaged thine feet, leaping to so oft to conclusions.
Translation: This is the most hypocritcal thing you've ever said, but I'll bet you'll top yourself soon. You're too stupid to tell the difference between a public matter and a private one. Now you're setting yourself up as judge and jury, like you usually do. Perhaps you could tell what kind of justice you mean to hand out? Or is this one of your god given rights, to decide what is and
what is not just? I bet you never even considered that the stuff you heard about Noelle was a load of crap. Just a bunch of nasty gossip that's been circulated by certain ladies. You always believe what you're told and you always jump to the wrong conclusion.
Secondary Translation: Meow.
Madame, no one is "too old" to look a fool and thee certes have a record of "doing" things, most of which are merely annoyances at best and certes of little or no consequence in the grand scheme of things.
Translation: No one is too old to make a fool out of themselves. You sure do a lot of things that are annoying, but meaningless.
Secondary Translation: You're stupid and you bug people.
Had I been ignorant of the meaning of the words, rest assured thee define them quite exactly.
Translation: It comes as no surprise that you would wonder at anything. You don't have a firm grasp on the language and this has been demonstrated to you many times. I know what "ill-breeding" means, because I know you. If I had not known what the words meant, you would have defined them for me perfectly.
Secondary Translation: You're stupid. You don't use the language properly. When I look up "ill-breeding" in the dictionary, I see your picture.
Madame Elgarette, thee wouldna know a "fact" if it leaped in front of thee and thee tripped over it. I can assure thee I have a normal tongue, nae scales, nae fangs and most certes nae a tail, nor do I slither, save against my husband. Thee aire of the type that believes if thee say it enough thee shall find someone ast gullible ast thee who shall believe thee. I seem to recall thee accepting ast "fact" a personage claiming to be Phlag.
Indeed thee didst go so far ast welcoming him with a cordial greeting upon this verra corkboard, when, in "fact" t'was nae Phlag but an impostor. Thee and I aire well aware of more than one instance in which thine senses were easily deceived. Tis likely thine senses hae nae sharpened with age, Madame.
Translation: You wouldn't know a fact if you tripped over it. I am not a snake and, and the only one I wriggle agains is my husband. You are the kind who thinks if you say something enough times, you'll find someone stupid enough to believe it. I remember the time that you believed that some guy who introduced himself as Phlag was really Phlag. He was an imposter. You are deceived all the
time. You will likely be deceived more often as you get older.
Secondary Translation: I am not either a snake! You're so stupid that you believed what someone told you. You're always taking people at face value. You'll only be more of an idiot as you get older.
Madame Elgarette, ast usual thine "facts" aire muddled. I am Madame Starfare. Tis nae surprise thee wouldst seem to forget that, tis another sign of thine creeping senility nae doubt. I wast a nameless waif, and Nenshen ist the name given me by the man who served ast mentor and godfather to me during my minority. I hae nae claimed the upbringing thee hast, Madame. If I am nae mistaken thee hast claimed a noble pedigree and lineage. Perhaps
it ist thine nose that shouldst be lowered, Madame, for I hae nae e'er claimed other than humble birth and upbringing.
Translation: You're wrong, as usual. My name is Madam Starfire. You're getting so old that it doesn't surprise me that you would forget that. [Insert boring history that no one cares about here] I never claimed to have the upbringing that you have. I believe you claim to be of noble blood. Perhaps you are the one who should stop being such a snob, since I have never claimed to have
anything other than a humble birth and upbringing.
Secondary Translation: Don't forget to check the wedding ring you stupid old bat, I'm married now! Since you're the one who is of noble birth and I was born in the gutter, that automatically makes you the snob. Nyah!
Madame Elgarette, again thine grasp of "facts" deserts thee. I have been upon a battlefield, indeed, I have left my blood upon the soil of two lands and found nothing in the least amusing in the experience. Madame, I can assure thee I do not take thee or thine melodramatic declarations seriously. Hollow threats and melodramatic stridence ist what ist to be expected of thee and ist vastly amusing. If it were nae for thine comedic factor, I
would take no note of thee at all.
Translation: Once again, you do not have a firm grasp of the facts. I've been on a battlefield many times and was wounded in the process. I found nothing funny about it. I don't take you or the things you say seriously. You make me laugh. If I didn't find you so funny, I wouldn't even notice you at all.
Secondary Translation: You're a big fat liar!
Since it has already been well established that thine sanity is fragile and thee hae proven time and again that patience ist nae among thine virtures, I should suggest thee seek out a capable wig maker, thee mayhap shall find thee aire in need. In fact, thee might wish to secure an apothecary to obtain the henna needed to maintain thine coloring. Thee dinna age gracefully or well, Madame Elgarette. If I were to ponder it in a chance moment, I
wouldst say thee behave much like an withered old woman approaching fifty who ist trying to convince herself she is yet but a slip of a girl of twenty. I have taken notice of those in the community to which thee refer, Madame, and I must say, many of them, much ast thee, aire of little note, less intelligence and e'en less consequence.
Translation: Since everyone knows you're nuts and that you have no patience, maybe you should get someone to make you a wig to cover up all those bald spots made by tearing your own hair out. You also need to touch up that dye job. You're not aging well. If I were to waste a moment thinking about it, I'd say you were an old woman who imagines herself to still be young. I've noticed the
ones you've mentioned, but they are as stupid and useless as you are.
Secondary Translation: You're old and nuts. Your friends are just as stupid as you. Meow. Hiss.
Madame, we again come full circle and thine hypocrisy ist showing. Wouldst have it that only thee aire permitted comments, statements and opinions, or that thee hae the authority to instruct anyone to "cease, desist, stop"? Madame, tis seeming that thine foot hast reached thine mouth, do open wide and accomodate it, for thee do look rather foolish in that particular posture. I do believe that may be the fifty third or perhaps fifty fourth time
thee hast instructed someone to hush. Perhaps thee wouldst consider taking a new tack, though in all honesty, thine repetitiveness ist the one constant to which thee may lay valid claim.
Translation: You're being a hypocrite again. Do you want to be the only one allowed to make comments, or do you just want the authority to tell others to shut up. You put your foot in your mouth, now open wide, because you look stupid standing like that. I believe this is either the 53rd or 54th time you've told someone to shut up. You might want to try something new, but repeating
yourself is your one virtue.
Secondary Translation: You think you're Miss Thang, and you keep telling people to shut up. And you know what else? You're really boring too! Nyah, Nyah, Nyah!

::chuckles at the translation:: Aye, just the right amount of immaturity.
::writes a quick note::
Thanks for the laughs, Translator.

Oh, how wonderful. Who will translate the translator? I hope s/he did not quit their day job, they do a poor, poor job of it, indeed.
((Author's note: why not let those that write the words, write them? We don't need someone claiming impartiality (laughably not done well) under cloak of secrecy to make fun of others, IC and OOC. Translator, why not tell us who YOU are so we can make fun of you too?))

Secondary Translation: I knew what you meant, but I decided to interpret in a nasty way. That will teach you to take more care with how you word things, so there.
What The Point of Posting This Is Really About: I thought it would be funny to show how badly I interpret what other people are saying and in the meantime pretend I actually have something to contribute to the conversation. The funnest part is making fun of other people like Jona, Sidartha, and Lily without actually having the balls to stand
behind my words. Aren't I cute and mature? I got fired from my last job as translator. I bet you all know why!
