Well, let's keep this rather basic...
How about an official food-fight night? Celery stalks, french fries, beef sticks, saugage links... We'd probably have to have a fat-free food-fight night every other month, just to keep some of our duelists from gaining too much weight.

Basic is good just so long as you understand that still leaves all manner of dead critters open for use.

I like the idea of a food night... I member when I was pregnant with Bree, Morte would duel with me by throwing twinkies and ding-dongs so she wouldn't hurt me as I waddled my fastest waddle around the ring....
::laughs:: Count me in..... Fat-Free or not....

Ah, yes. But what if it's a cheeseburger that just "happens" to have onions on it? Heh heh heh...

The best thing about the Duel of Swords is, if you personally or politically disagree with someone, you can beat the crap out of them with a lethal weapon!

::wonders if he can post *ONE THING* that doesn't have some horrible mistake embedded.. looks at this subject and notices how the conversation has changed since the original posting by Sir OorTael... believes he can add a suggestion for a night of frolicking fun... ::
To All:
I would like to voice my agreement with a "Food Fight Night". But I should also like to offer another suggestion for your perusal. Several times Nerf objects have been used very successfully in the Arena. Although this is not original with me (having heard it in the Arena in the recent past), I humbly propose "Nerf Wars" for a night of fun and entertainment.
And to Sir Oortael: Thank ye for starting a very *nice* set o' posts on this ol' tack board, even if the subject has migrated somewhat.
Humbly submitted,
~Auritan~

A note to the esteemed Shadowsiv:
I beg ye kind sir, do not so quickly dismiss this wonderous opportunity. I appeal to yer entrepreneurial sensibilities. Just think of the opportunities! Ye could be the first to hold classes in Proper Food Fighting Techniques! Why, ye could corner the market! Ye would be rich beyond yer wildest imaginings! Ye could use our classes as sort'a a proving ground to develop new offensive and defensive techniques.. They would be in great demand,
ye know.
And with yer esteemed guidance, I, thy humble student, couldst perchance write a book... Something like "Food Fighting for Feisty Foilers - The Definitive Guide to Vegetable Dueling Ettiquette" . I've already started outlining chapters: like "Properly Serving Yer Opponent In The Ring", "A Well-Mannered Defense Using Celery", and "Polite Ways to Chop Yer Opponent's Carrot".
As ye can see, Sir Shadow, there are all sorts o' opportunities here just waiting for the right person ta develop them! Ye could be first! (And perhaps in my own humble way, I could assist.)
Respectfully tacked ta the board for yer perusal and consideration,
~A
::tacks the message to the board, then thinks for a moment, and scribbles at the bottom...
BTW, Sir Shadow, it would be best ta keep this a 'secret' betwixt tha two of us! It wouldn't do ta have the whole shebang a'knowin tha plan!
:: gets out another sheet of parchment and writes on it in bold letters
"A SECRET MESSAGE TA SHADOW"
then tacks it up over the other and scurries off to work::
