>>Well, I don't even know Noelle, and I don't really think she know's Sartan, But I don't think he had to get all hostile about it. It was simply a saying trying to get my hopes up and not trying to get anyone down or insulting them. She surely did not want to offend anyone. So lay off
and go back to your business and don't give Sartan
compliments about yelling back at someone. I don't think it to be complimented upon. Done.<<
Jake~
As you said, you don't know Noelle. How can you say that she didn't mean to offend if you don't know her. I do, it was my choice to compliment Sartan, and that is that.

>> Hmm, so now her rank doesn't matter. Not only that, you can only accept good opinions? Oh, no, it's because she doesn't know you. So who's the whiner? YOU may think I'm a whiner, but hey, you go ahead and cower behind false words. However, I suggest you sit on Dal's lap and ponder your reasonings more carefully.
Now for a summary of your posts..... You can dish out insults, but you can't handle criticism, as two other loyal hypocrites like yourself have proven in the past couple days.<<
Var~
What right do you have to make accusations about hypocrisy and, as you put it, sitting on people's laps? You are the very one who tries to put on airs of honor and civility, and then you go ahead and protect the very actions you decry when they are performed by your wife. Perhaps it is you who should get off of Noelle's lap and start making rational decisions, instead of letting her whisper poison into your ear.
I can understand love, but love is no excuse for hypocrisy.

What this notice of challenge of Jake's for Sartan's position has declined into is the Overlord and a couple of people who I regret to call my fellow Barons engaged in pure mudslinging.
In my mind, if one wants to debate a point well, never, ever, ever, ever, (that enough?) bring another person's personal characteristics into the arguement. Even if attacked personally, I will try to refute it as calmly as I can, and get back to the point without attacking the other person myself. It is only proper respect.
Regardless of the mental capacities of who you are arguing, making note of another's mental capacities does not in any way improve your argument as does any stereotype. Although I never tire of reading such posts, I would enjoy them much more would they actually pertain to some topic.
I don't really want to attack anyone else after i got done saying that people shouldn't, so I think I'll stop now before anything I write will be construed in that manner.
Oh, and good luck to both of you, Sartan and Jake.

Ok... This is nuts.. But it's my turn.. You go Jake!
Here's Jake's... SPEECH.. Quiet on the set!
Everyone is attacking everyone off a little challenge thing. I looked on the board, about what, 50 posts stuck to it? Took a hell of a long time to read, understand all the points and go through each and everyone.
Dal, I think you're spectacular with a blade, but un-thinkable with the mouth. Shut up, please. Stop blabbering. I know If I was overlord, I would have a hell of a hard time being it. Believe me, I think it to be great of you to be overlord and out up with everything. This is the *first* time I have ever seen you *REALLY* attack someone on the boards. You really brought out your true colors. Percival was talking about people challenging Var. But, I
think this is pushing challenges against YOU. Even though you've handled many in the rings, you haven't dueled everyone and someone just might get ya by the throat. I for one get thoughts of challenging you after this. I was actually thinking about becoming neutral. But now renegade is stuck in me. Done with you..
NEXT!!!! -
Avery,
Please don't go nuts over this. You listed so many points, and you were SO right on many occasions. But, I thought you to be overboard with your thoughts. Don't think i'm taking sides. But, you listed the same words over and over again, and believe me, it sunk into my head. You're a great duelist, you don't like the overlord, challenge him *AGAIN*. That's right.. Mess up one time.. "Try, try again."
NEXT!!!
Sarty pants..
I agree totally. It was uncalled for. The little Whelp thing. she probly meant it as something, not realizing a whole novel would be posted about it. Drop it.. but, I noticed you haven't written anything about it in a while. Good job, best luck in the challenge too.
NEXT!!!!
Var and Noelle,
ok, you guys directed everything at Sartan (mostly Var). Yes, he did attack your wife, but you pushed it to the limit and let yourself opened for people to drive at you. Should I list the people... here..
1. Sartan
2. Overlord
3. Percival
4. half-and-half with Jeff.
5. Morgan
6. half-and-half Lucian
Is that enough? You dug yourself a hole like O' so many. I did myself once, I remember that not too fondly. I bet you do too.
The agreeing part. I think of you as a friend, and I do take sides with you. Your opinions are very nice and clear. A little too clear for some to handle.
That's all I had to say.. Anyone to attack me yet? i'm waiting... And Anywayz.. I thought this to be a post about a challenge match and such.. oh YEah!!! By the way.. My LoH is Nessa. Evening.

So, are you saying that because someone is a Baron, he is given free reign to act like an impudent child?
Curious, and awaiting to be called "blind follower",

I am glad though, that illiteracy isn't the same as idiocy. We can separate Chris, who hasn't been privileged to a formal education, from Morgan and Dal, who have been, but they lack mental efficiency.
But what do I know? I'm a little man with a little sword.<<
Var~
Kindly do us all a favor and grow up. Was it at all necessary to drag Morgan into this? What has she said *in this conversation* to make you insult her with such immaturity?
Dal is right, you and Noelle certainly do deserve each other. Both of you need to spend a bit of time as hog farmers. That should wash a bit of the snob out of the two of you.

>>Oh dear. Then you are really not going to like what I had to say; it just might make you may change your mind.<<
Morgan,
Why would I change my mind? Because you chose to lower yourself to his level and act just like him? You chose to insult me, that doesn't make Var insulting you right. I think if he wishes to call people idiots for disagreeing with him, he is as wrong as you are for calling people the same for disagreeing with you. I happen to think if he wants to throw an insult at you or Dalamar, he should back it up.
Same goes for you of course. If you really want to insult me, come do it to my face and we can step into a ring immediately afterward. Otherwise, I will continue to ignore it. If you really want to insult Var, go do it to his face. Better yet, if he is such a lousy Baron, drop your ring and challenge him. Like I told him

Boy, you know, a man leaves for a couple of months and his whole world changes.
The Overlord, whom I have never heard personally insult anyone on the boards in my life, has suddenly started attacking people with his pen; one of his main targets is a former staunchly Loyal Baron turned staunchly Renegade. Geez, what happened here? (On the side, I would be grateful if someone actually did explain to me what happened.)
Other than that, it's business as usual on the boards: insults flying, tempers flaring, with in the end nothing much getting done.
In the words of a man I once knew, "Can't we all just get along?"

Well Zen, to put it simply, and I don't wish to bring this up again, for all hell might break loose again, but this is what happened.
1. Dal didn't show up for a match against Huma.
2. Huma fought Jeff in a honor duel. Huma loses and promises not to press challenge against Dal
3. Huma presses challenge.
4. Council gives Dal a defense for not showing, but a "censure" on his record.
5. All hell breaks lose...Ajay, Seamus, and Var going renegade over it.
Thats it in a nutshell....and please, I dont feel like getting attacked over this one.

Sid,
On a side note, let us not forget AJ losing his father last summer, and he managed to make his defense. Other than that, who cares anymore?

Sid,
My original argument in this whole thing has been "certain barons can dish it out, but when criticism reaches them, they are unable to handle it."
From what I've read, Overlord Dal and Baron Sartan were both presented their harsh words, but then deny and construe it in another way to avoid being ridiculed.
Now if I recall, Sid, Noelle has shown how Sartan's remarks don't bother her. So where's the hypocrisy?
Well, in my eyes, I think you just wrote some yourself. You compliment Sartan for his words to Noelle, when you think you know her, but then when I make a remark about Morgan, you asked what she did?
Honestly, Sid, have you read EVERYTHING written so far? I can name two posts, one towards Percival and one towards a twelve year-old, where she has made remarks.
You say how my insults are so immature, when I have to look at Dal's. While he claims that he didn't realize it was a twelve year old who wrote the post (I'm not disputing whether or not he knew), he still tried to fling an insult out towards the grammar enclosed. You don't want to be called a blind follower, at least open your eyes.
Var, simply put, a remark like this is uncalled for. If you have a problem with Dalamar, issue challenge! If you have a problem with Morgan, resign your ring, get the peer wins, and issue her a challenge! I may not agree with what they choose to say to you or Avery, but you are every bit as out of line. I seriously think, if you are so angry at Dalamar, you should
challenge him.
I would even go so far as to say, under the current circumstances, if you do NOT challenge Dalamar after what you just said about him, someone should challenge you! Don't throw stones if you don't have any.
You tell me what remark is called for, Percival, when Dal argues that those who speak against him are "mislead" and then tosses remarks to Avery for his grammar, thus trying to invalidate his opinion? I call that idiocy. You can call it whatever you want: mean, uncalled for, or honorable for all I care, but I'm not about to bow down to someone whom I hold no respect for just to appease you, Dal, anyone who's holding peer wins looking for
someone to challenge, or anyone else.
On a final note, I'm happy as a humble baron. Just because I think certain people are just sad for who they are means that I am so ambitious as to go for a title I would not want to have. I have no doubt someone will challenge me. If I win, then maybe someone else will challenge. If I lose, then I'll go for Barony again. Simple as that.
That's all I'm saying on this subject. I've stated my opinion a few times and used my reason behind it. If someone wants to address what I've written, or their opinion, go ahead, but don't expect a response.
Simply,
