the final signatures

Post by DoF Archive » Sat May 15, 2004 11:47 pm

From: HOST DFC Rask

the final signatures had finally come through. Rask now held in his hands basically everything he needed so that everyone who was looking for money from the Outback would no longer be looking for him.

What he held were the papers that would make Matthew Simon the official supervisor and owner of the Outback, complete with Matthew Simon's very own signature.

Now, all he had to do was meet with someone. A notary who would put his stamp on the final paper to make everything waterproof so to speak. The man wasn't very familiar with this place, he didn't know his way around very well. But, what he did know was how to get to the Outback.

So, Rask sent him a final letter setting up a date and time to meet with him.Friday, May 5th around 8 p.m.

That would give Rask enough time to finish some other dealings he had and was a day when the Outback would not be opened. No one would be there and Rask could finally move on.

He dropped the letter in the mail and walked past the message board, not taking note of anything in particular.

Ressurection of an award

Jack was skeptical when Rask and Matt asked him to take this task. If only they knew just how bad his eyesight really was. But they still wanted him, really the only one on staff with all the free time in the world on his hands. He was retired, after all. So with much trepidation, he set up accounts with the finest smithy in town, the speediest delivery service, and the most auspicious announcement
makers he could find. Then he recieved his copy of the new budget from Matt and made arrangements with the second-best smithy, the semi-dependable delivery service, and a bag of balloons.

There were so many back-orders that it took time for the awards to be finished. In the end though, each duelist on his list was to recieve the brass (plated) buckle of the Outback's Brute of the Week. In just days everyone would recieve their award, the dueler's name emblazoned in a wide scroll on the front side of the buckle beneath the Fists crest and the Brute emblem.

He finally gave the list a last look before sealing it in its envelope.
