Friday, May 5th, to be the biggest tournament in Duel of Fists history!... fell a bit short of expectations. Only 15 of 31 registered duelers made an appearance; however, those 15 made it one heck of a night.

Of the original 15 first round duels, only four were able to be completed:

Phantom def. Rask (yes, the new Duels Supervisor, in his first official match ever!), 5-2 in 7 rounds.
Jen Star def. Sumgi Viotani, 5-3 in 9 rounds.
Thom Storm def. Xerzes Helmut Maureen, 5-2 in 6 rounds.
Damien Mortis def. Anubis Karos, 5-4 in 12 rounds.

At this time, with seven other duelists waiting in the wings and no late arrivals, it was decided that six of the seven would be randomly paired; if no one made it to duel the lone remaining fighter, then whoever lost by the smallest margin would get a chance to fight once more to get into the main event. The next three duels went as follows:

Jaycynda Ashleana def. Stefen Tiralis, 5-4 in 9 rounds.
Kheldar Drasinia (who had signed up under the alias Relg Ulgo) def. Lilly Hyde, 6-5 in 11 rounds.
Welantro Zlianni def. Jigglypuff, 5-2 in 10 rounds.

No one had arrived to duel "Jaded Death", so Lilly Hyde, by virtue of her overtime loss, was granted another opportunity. Unfortunately, Janella's fresh legs quickly beat Lilly into a 4-0 hole, from which she could not recover. The final:

Janella Vallonia def. Lilly Hyde, 5-2 in 9 rounds.

Thus, the MegaBrawl participants were decided:

All eight participants gathered in the ring... and at the sound of Goon's "Fight lot good!" (or something to that effect, who can tell?), the melee ensued. Quickly, everyone's attention turned to Phantom, and not in a good way; his luck turned out to be quite poor as all five of those who jumped on him landed a solid attack. He valiantly fought back, but was quickly stunned. Welantro, however, chased after Janella, which began a vicious battle
between the two of them which would last nearly the entirety of the Brawl, with only temporary respites when one or the other would grow bored and attack someone else for a minute or two.

After a moment of shock at seeing each other converge on one location, the fighting evened out, although with no less intensity. Soon, it was Janella, Jen, and Thom who found themselves fighting off multiple opponents, then Jaycy; in a far corner, although the attacks had relented, Phantom's luck continued to fail him as punch after kick after punch repeatedly landed. Not even ten minutes into the Brawl, he finally managed to kick away Jen, but
only to lose his balance- with help from Thom- and get toppled over the ropes, into 8th place.

Punch upon punch, minute upon minute, the battle raged in the ring; whoever had the fewest noticeable bruises and/or head wounds seemed to draw most of the fighting to them. Until, that is, Jen's thin frame started to wobble a bit; sensing this, along with a fatigued attack in her direction, Jaycy stopped Jen in her tracks, flipping her up and over the top rope! Meanwhile, the nearly one-on-one war between Welantro and Janella continued to rage,
both standing nearly toe to toe duking it out, while Thom's adrenaline started to get the best of him, sending him into a "hurt people now"-looking mentality; despite Jen's ejection, Jaycy continued to look worn down, while Kheldar remained standing on relatively fresh legs, and Damien.. wobbled, as drunk as he was when he first came in.

Quickly another exit came- Jaycy fell like the next domino to Thom's nasty hook, which carried her limp form straight out of the ring. Damien, somehow, managed to avoid all contact for a couple of minutes, although it probably would have helped more had he been sober. That didn't last long, though, as he boredly chased after Kheldar, kicking him down and then swinging that bottle around... everyone continued to hit the closest person, no matter who
it was, until there stood, finally, five well-beaten warriors. Kheldar stared down Damien.. Damien tried to stare down Kheldar... seeing the wobbly drunk, well, wobble, the biggest man in the ring launched into his most powerful kick. However, he may have underestimated the drunk's inebriated ability, as he went from standing on one leg to standing on none, tumbling through the air and out of the ring!

Four left. Janella and Welantro made no attempts to hide their thoughts; Damien, however, with yet another target gone, lurched after Thom. The lanky one must have been hiding some energy, though, because he quickly turned away from his rush towards Janella in time to level Damien past the ropes with a swift kick and a "Goodbye now". Swinging around, he looked just in time to see the lone remaining female become the third place finisher as
Welantro shot a kick of his own through the air, into her, and away she went.

That left Thom and Welantro, and somewhere, bettors were licking their chops. Unlike most fighters, they kept their heads in the fight; snapping quick attacks back and forth, they knew they might not win right away, but as long as they didn't lose, there was always a chance. Initially, Wel managed to duck away from a powerful jab; eventually, each scored a hit, but it wasn't until Thom went to finish the fight that his opponent did instead, staying
with speed and launching the spinning man past the ropes and out, as his huge, loud ogre friend (reportedly named "Crusha") threatened to wreck what was left of the Outback with his cheering.

An honorable mention award is also given to Thom Storm, for finishing second, and also for knocking out more Brawlers than anyone else (three- Phantom, Damien, and Jaycynda).
