It had been several weeks ago, but this was the first chance Matt Simon had to log and place the results for public view.
In the latest challenge for Pathfinder, Kheldar Drasnia faced Anubis Karros in a best of three challenge competition. I, Matthew Algiers Simon, watched over the proceedings and declare the following results to be accurate.
The first match, primarily owned by Kheldar, the Opal's defender, saw Kheldar win handily with a 5-2 margin over his challenger. The match highlight? Kheldar's well timed uppercut that destroyed Karros aerial assault.
Just as Kheldar dominated the first match, Karros dominated the second, pulling out of a 2-2 tie with three fast points to take the 5-2 victory. Ironically, Karros netted his fifth point the same way Kheldar had found his, chopping down with an extended arm and catching his opponent unaware.
Thus far, the match victor had proven to be the one who took the first point; as this match began, Karros opened with the point and never looked back, racking up a 4-0 lead in a short time and taking that fourth point with a well timed spinkick. Though dazed, Kheldar managed to stave off the loss for one more round, avoiding the shutout but finding himself on the short end of a 5-1 loss.
