To House L-L folks,
Since the house challenge circuit seems to be so popular, and since its friendly without anything being inthe standings, I'd like to introduce House Loincloth. If you wanna get together a team of five duelists, our house gives challenge. Contact me with the dates and times and we'll come to some kinda deal.....

L-L is Llewys-Lathadoscia...
We are not associated with Ecore in that regard. It is House L.

House Lathadoscia would be delighted to meet thy team for some friendly rivalry and competition. We would love to get together and tests or skills and talents with thy own comrades. Allow us to Host thee as the Host team and I shall provide thee with the details.

Note: We are correctly known as House Lathadoscia by the way, or as some like to abbreviate, House L. Thank you.

The women that I have gathered for a team are not a "House" of any type. Just five women ready to have some fun and show off a bit of skill, hopefully.

Rand, and others,
That is why I have often said House/Team challenge tourneys, some Houses form their own team, others just get together to be a team. If one is not a House, just be nice if you were a recognized team with an easy name for reference. Being in a House is not mandatory.
Since we're doing all this team dueling, Where's Iain? He had the cool team rules, though we are not using DoF and DoM, perhaps he would like to get involved.

I didn't mean to imply that my little gang was different or better because we weren't a House. Nor did I mean to imply that all of you were. I just wrote what I wrote at the time without much thought, sorry.
And you, my crazy wife, are not going to invite those three to live with us!

Lady Sidartha~
I wouldn't consider it "party pooping." However, I wonder what Baphelocutis' reaction would have been had I, for instance, been involved with actively restarting the idea of a dueling sport combing blades, hand-to-hand combat, and magic, without consulting with him.
I'm quite sure that there are those considering this minor complaint on my part to be petty (and to those unaware of circumstances, I would not fault them for such an opinion, though I'd disagree), but after having assisted Baphelocutis to great extent during his first attempt at the Lathadoscia challenge, I might have expected more courtesy on his part.
Truly, this is but a minor annoyance; I've no interest in dampening the interest in the competition, as I still feel it a very meritorious concept. Should my insight on the organization of a formal league for this purpose be desired, I would be hard-pressed to deny the opportunity. It was merely a bit of a shock to see my idea taken and used wihtout so much as a by-your-leave. I suspect this was merely an oversight on the part of Baphelocutis.
That having been said, I thank you for your attempt at good humor regarding my annoyance, especially in light of our differences. In truth, your jest lightened my attitude on the matter a great deal.

Laird Iain Tynsdale,
Valmion of Questrion approached me and challenged my House to a team duel. He as well informed me that he was challenging me and wanted the event to fall within the rules/guidelines that he and Xenograg used when Questrion and Darelir had a team event against each other a couple of years ago. I accepted.
As this seems to have grown in popularity at the moment with more Houses/Teams getting involved, and not a just a once only deal as it had been a couple years ago, I thus asked you if you would like to get involved. I decided to try and get you involved at what I thought was the earliest oppurtunity before the House/Team tourneys/league expanded any further to get thy imput on an idea you had similiarly created once long ago. As I know it is of interest to you and saught to include more of
the community together in this. Please accept my apologies if you feel slighted or insulted, though I do not feel I have done anything, now that you understand my explanation, wrong to cause you to feel such.
Again, I ask thee, Iain, if thy wish to get involved either actively or just consulting on this new idea of a House/Team league within the DoS it's self?

As I stated, I was certain that any slight was a mere oversight. Please feel free to contact me regarding the issue.
To clarify, however, it was not a one-time-only deal a couple of years ago; some teams managed to get in four completed matches before the teams which were lagging behind choked up the works beyond repair. I'd also note that the concept was an official exhibition event for a weekend; I still to this day have no idea why it collapsed.

I meant the deal between Darelir and Questrion was a one time only event based on the rules Xenograg created. Not in reference to the thing you created.

Iain,
Just to clairify the history of the DoS, it was Castle Questrion and Xenograg's Dojo that put on the first team exhibition. And for months after that match, there was no other team interest. I am sure that m'lord Xenograg would acknowledge this fact.
Sincerely,
Valmion

That point has been adequately made.
That exhibition took place before my arrival here, apparently; no mention of it was ever made in my presence until... oh, about a day ago. I have no problem whatsoever conceding the point; in defense of my own annoyance, however, I feel it worth noting that when the discussions regarding team dueling have come up in the past (four times to date that I'm aware of), not one person has seen fit to inform me that someone else tried it before I organized the ill-fated league of two summers past.
