Iced Out

He was running, and fighting. In Dragonia.
There were alot of them, but who?

All his friends lay either dead or dying, but the startling realization was that whoever, or whatever he was fighting and evading wasn't the cause of the deaths of those close to him. No, the cause of the death..was found in his own hands. Glancing to his arm, the silver bracer caught his eye...then everything went blue.

Daelin jumped out of bed quickly. Almost tumbling over to the hard stone floor. Rising to a sitting position, he suddenly scratched his head. How did he get here, at home? He glanced quickly around, and realized he was still wearing the same clothes from the night before, the night of the challenge. The challenge!! He glanced to his arm, the silver arm bracer secured tightly around it, and there in the center the Blue Opal gleamed silently. He
breathed a slow sigh of relief, then suddenly wondered why...IceDancer had cost him much over the duration he held it. People said he was a totally different person due to it's power, and he had unexplained periods of memory loss, but the Opal was a part of him now.

He thought back to the challenge, he remembered the first match vividly. He had beat Ria to the punch most of the time, and took the match. The first match was a friendly, respectable duel..no real aggression or anger presented by either side. Then, he remembered the second match starting off, he was hitting a little harder, using IceDancer as an offensive weapon, but he ended up getting handed a solid defeat. The third match, was a complete blur
other, but judging by the Opal still in his position, he clearly saw he had been victorious. But, that made him wonder...did it happen again? It had been so long, and Daelin thought the darker side of himself and the stone had been repressed. He realized that IceDancer wasn't through with him yet, and had made that clear to both him and everyone else...but at what price? If the other had been released, the aftermath could be drastic. He wondered what
happened, he wanted to go find Ria, if she was still alive, but he was hesitant. If she, or anyone else witnessed what he hoped had not happened last night, they might view him totally different.

"There's only one thing to do." Daelin said with a bit of firmness. He stepped out of bed and set off to find the only person whom he could talk to.
