The boys are back in town! Well.. Girl.

She played the part of the cute younger sister, dragging him along the strip mall like stores of the RhyDin market, showing him cute dresses here, interesting items there, and finally found the perfect place to eat.

He played the perfect older brother, rolling his eyes at the girlie things while secretly grinning at her playful good mood, constantly wiping off his cheek when she'd get so overwhelmed with hyperness that she'd kiss it, and would secretly steal hugs while she babbled.

She ate like there was no tomorrow, babbling about jobs here and there that she'd taken, the trouble she'd gotten in to, the new tricks she learned and ideas she had.

He listened to the new Caedia, watching with rapt interest as she seemed to bloom in front of him. He'd grimace every time she reached up to wipe his chin off, or whatever little thing she'd do.

He had nothing better to do, so he allowed himself to be dragged back to Caedia's temporary apartment at The Pink Flamingo again, listening as she paid her nightly dues by playing on the piano and sang.. watching as Annette and Tony gushed over her and kept giving him free drinks.

When she'd finished playing around with different songs including singing Desperado by the Eagles just for him, she dragged him upstairs to watch a movie and fluffed him into an appropriate pillow.

She was content.. she was happy.. full and emotionally satisfied, and she had her brother. She pretended not to notice when he pretended to be grumpy at her lying all over him.. she pretended like he was annoying her by petting her hair (even though she failed to move away at all) and pretended not to notice as he tried very carefully to disengage from her sleeping form without waking her.

She loved him, loved him for being him and loved him for hanging out with her. Loved him for covering her up with a blanket before he snuck out.

He had played the perfect brother.. and now she was back to enjoy it.
