IceDancer Challenge Results!

The challenge for the Blue Opal happened tonight, between Dizzy and Jake.

I was there to watch and it took a couple hours and all three matches before the Opal's holder was decided.

Dizzy came on strong, taking a large lead in the first match. Jake made an effort and almost came back late in the match, but in the end Diz had the first win, 5-3 in 12 rounds.

In the second match, Jake took the lead and never looked back. He got up to 4-0 in 4 rounds, and in the 5th round Diz finally got a point. Unfortunately for her though, Jake scored that same round and took the second match 5-1.

The third match turned out to be a great one. It was fought down in the hole (as the other two were). Diz took the first two points quickly, but then just as fast Jake tied it up. The lead went from one to the other after that, until it came to SUDDEN DEATH in the ninth round (what else could have happened?). The tenth round proved to be the final one, as Jake landed his attack faster and took a 5-4 win to keep control of IceDancer!

Congratulations Jake, and nice try Dizzy!

::comes along after and scratches out all the instances of the name IceDancer and replaces them in red crayon with the Opal's new proper name...BeerCooler::
