To all interested (and non-interested) parties! Herein lie the results of Magnus Highborn's challenge to Tareth Thorn for the right to claim the yellow Opal, Moonberyl which took place on Friday, May 10, according to the common calender.

Match One:

This nine round bout, which ended in a 5-3 win by the defender, Tareth, demonstrated Tareth's raw power as he repeatedly struck Magnus with combinations of well-timed defense and assaults. Magnus, though, while down by three points early on, battled back to rended this a close match, laying in some shots to let Tareth know he wouldn';t go away quietly.

Match Two:

A fifteen round slugfest, this battle fatigued both participants. Magnus gained an early lead, and was able to keep it as the match went on; Tareth tried valiently to thwart Magnus' defense, but the challenger was hungry and whan the match ended with dual strikes, Magnus proved the victor with a 5-4 score.

Match Three:

The all-important battle; this was now a one duel event. And it went quickly, only lasting six rounds. Tareth, realizing that he was in danger of losing the Opal, put out all the stops and showed what can happen when he's truly focused. The end result? A 5-0 victory for the defender, and plenty of bruises for Magnus.
