MoonBeryl, FireStar and the Inter-Gender War!
What could be better than an Inter-Gender War, or nights of great fighting for the Opals? How about both of them combined?
That's right! The Duel of Fists is turning tradition on its rear and combining the Inter-Gender War with the search to find MoonBeryl and FireStar new holders! What's more, you don't have to be an Emerald to claim the Opals!
Starting April 7th, it's guys vs. girls once again! In the first challenge, ladies won by a good amount. The second time, the men rallied and caused a tie score! Now, it's here for the third time! Will the men take the win finally? We'll find out!
At the end of the War, the top male and top female will be awarded the two vacant Opals, no matter their rank.* At the end of the cycle, either the best overall record or the winner of a final showdown between the top two will determine who gets choice of Opal.** Full rules are listed below.
Ladies and gentlemen, get set! It's the most important War yet! Not only are the men looking for their first ever War win, but there's Opals at stake! Get locked in and ready to fight it out!
* - The winner of the April Diamond Quest is ineligible to win an Opal.

Full Official Rules
- The Inter-Gender War will last one cycle, from April 7th (the first Sunday of the new cycle) until July 2nd (the last Wednesday of the cycle).
- Only duels between a male and female will be counted in the War.
- Rankings will be kept to determine eligibility (based on a minimum number of duels) for the Opal prizes. Only those who are in the top bracket at the end of the War are eligible for Opals.
- All ranks are eligible to win prizes, with the exception of the April cycle Diamond.
- If a current Opal wins a prize, they must choose between their current Opal and the new one. The Duel of Fists staff reserves the right to determine how the unclaimed/retired Opal is awarded.
- If a non-Emerald wins an Opal, they have one cycle's grace as an "honorary" holder of the Opal. During that cycle, they must gain the wins to officially claim the Opal, and also must defend the Opal should any challenges arrive. If they do not gain the 15 wins over losses record required, the Opal will be forfeit at the end of the grace cycle, and a new holder will be found.
