Ladies and gentlemen of the duels,
I have been around for a little bit already, but I felt it was time to introduce myself. My name is Quilyn Silvertear. Unlike many of the other notes written here from newcomers, I am not going to tell you how I'm going to kick all of your arses, and how the "new school" is going to take over the old. Why? Because that's not how I work. I'm just in the DoS to duel and enjoy the company of you fine people.
However, there was one thing I feel that I must tell you. I've been reading every note written upon this ancient piece of cork since a few months ago, and I felt that a third party opinion was in order.
Do you guys see how silly many of you are acting? I know that I have little or no idea of what has happened away from the boards pertaining to these arguments, but it seems to me like very few of you can hold a civil disagreement. And it's gotten so bad, that I've even seen you guys arguing about whether or not you should be arguing. Thank the gods that Barons don't get land with their titles, or there'd be a dozen full-scale wars at every turn of
the cycle!
And the strangest thing about it is that those people that, were I to not look at the signatures, would picture the writer would be a demon with flames coming out of it's eyes and foam rolling down it's chin, but the writers of these missives that I've met for even a brief moment of time seem to be perfectly kind gentlemen and ladies. Is there a curse put upon these boards? If there was, I could understand why these "debates" get so heated so
quickly.
With that, I wish all of you peace and happiness. Perhaps some of you will read what I have to say and think upon it, or others will simply ignore it, and others still will comment upon these boards about how much of an idiot I am for commenting on something I "don't know about", but that's alright. My skin is thicker than that. My mission was simply to state my opinion upon these boards.
Mission accomplished.
Thank you for your patience,
Quilyn Silvertear

::Reads the missive and ponders a moment. Agrees that there are many fights on the boards; heck he's generally the center of them. He speaks out loud::
I have a feeling someone might take this personally, and things are going to flame up on this post, as well...
::Shrugs and wanders off::
