The night began as any other; a trip to the Annex for a bit of dueling. Sara felt it a rare occasion to duel Whitey. She was doing a great job, until she felt the odd sensation of someone watching her. She glance about, but nothing was revealed except a crowded room. She managed to blow her four point lead and lose
the match by being completely distracted. When she had left the ring, she discovered the eyes upon her. Moraxian. She had seen the man present at both the Arena and Annex. She was intriqued by his sudden attention and obvious interest in her.
The action graduated to the normal pleasantries of introductions. Morax offered to help Sara with her dueling. Her curiosity piqued. How was he going to help her? His offer COLOR="#000000" SIZE=3 PTSIZE=10>was different. He explained that by teaching her more about her own self, she might better understand and improve her dueling. Sara possessed a great love for learning. She willingly, accepted his offer and headed out of the Annex with him. However, the instruction actually began at Morax's house. She learned that she
still had a long way to go in recovering from the attack that broke her arm. After what seemed like hours, she finally returned to the Annex.
That would be where the evening took a bizarre turn. She spotted Lady Klyopie smoothering Whitey with kisses. Sara has never been a jealous person, but this evening, this event sent her head for a spin. Disgusted, Sara decided to get drunk. She grabbed a bottle of whiskey and spent many minutes trying to figure out how to open it. Her left hand was in a lot of pain after her visit to Morax's place. Frustrated, she gave up and decided to
just head home. As she headed for the stairs, Evan summoned her to join him.
His cheerful look caused her to wonder what was up with him. Evan seldom said more than a few words to her on a regular basis. The two sat in quiet conversation for some time. Sara then departed from the Annex and met up with Evan at his home.
There she found that he needed some help. Willingly, she agreed to help him on a search that could take months.

Ken had had better days, though yesterday was not especially terrible. He made his way in to the annex during the first hour of dueling.
That's when he saw him, again.
Salem....I wasn't just dreaming.
The rage festered within him and his emotions spilled out of his pores as his body grew clammy, sweaty, and his breathing became quite uneasy. He needed ta blow off some steam to avoid letting his strong urge for retribution spill over.
==Duel him==
Much to his suprise, he heard a voice almost immediately.
Ken....duel?
His voice pierced Ken to the very fabric of his soul....he turned to face the one he despised beyond all others.
I was hoping never to meet you again, you vile pig.
That being the most pleasant of words exchanged between Ken and Salem, he was more than anxious to get in the ring and pound Salem back to the stagnant swamp from which he must have originated.
To make a long story short, Ken's immediate need to beat Salem was satisfied but not before he felt the icy bite of Salem's razor edged cutlass.
Ken was still a bit on edge as he stormed out of the annex at the invitation of a lady friend. He managed to put on a happy face while with her, and he got himself cleaned up, but something was brewing in his gut.
Figuring he needed to go use up some more calories, he caught a cab back to the annex and grabbed the first open dueler he saw. Big mistake, Adonai made Ken look like quite the weakling, landing three slashes in one duel for the win.
As he was sitting down having a drink, and fidgeting a bit after his loss in the rings, he spied Evan, and knew that he must follow his friend back to his home.
Twas no good news to be heard that night.....not knowing exactly why Sara was there, he was pleasant, but not open in front of her, electing instead to whisper quietly with his emotionally distrought friend.
And they walked off in to the night...Ken, Sara, Evan, and a cute little dragon named Pain...
