As i sit at an empty table, one would wonder what one like myself thinks about. Actually he thinks about everything in here. Confused? If so, read on. I am still fairly new to DoS (only about a month or so) and only in the Master at Arms rank. But in only this month I have been taught the teachings in Gnort 3:16, seen too many a argument about slashing
and disengaging, and been ask the question: "Gosh is he a elvish assassin or an assassin of elves?" way too many times.
Before i continue i do, however, want to make it clear that I AM AN ELVISH ASSASSIN. Moreover, if you ask me that question again, i will be forced to leave my sudo quasi happy existence AND SHOOT YOU!! Ok that's settled. Now, moving on........
Over the last days, i have heard many talking about the Overlord and how his power should be used. Personally, the Overlord has earned that title and puts up with all the hubbub around him. So, in lieu of that, I belive that the Overlord should be able to do whatever he wants. That's all i have to say right now because it is 7:40 in the morning and i havent had much sleep. So if any of this spurrs you on some "phenomonal" self-movement, just
rember how incoherant a person is at 7 in the morning with no sleep .

Hmmmm? Win a title and you win the right to abdicate personal responsibility, eh? Doesn't sound right to me. I agree in a technical, literal sense. The Overlord has a lot of power and possesses the "Right" (I just love Avery's word for it so I am gonna steal it) to use them as he sees fit.
However, as people on every side of every issue say to justify themselves or their opinion and to indemnify others or their opinion, having the "Right" does not make doing someting right. The Overlord still has the personal responsibility for his actions and choices that we all share. What is more, the Overlord has more to lose than we do if he makes incorrect choices or abuses his power. Right now, Dalamar is Overlord. Dalamar is a very great
man and a fantastic duelist. He has also, in my opinion, misused his powers at times. This is to say, using them not for the betterment of the sport but to strengthen his own position. This is something every Overlord has done. That doesn't make it right, but it is their "Right."
Excuse me for getting off topic. The point is, while you are correct in the literal sense, and the Overlord can and does do as he pleases, that doesn't make it right.
