And now, he rises from his desk, having done a bit of studying, waiting, listening, learning. He awaited as the controversy played itself out. He allowed this petty bickering to amuse him. It seemed that there was no real fuel he could add to this and get more entertainment from the situation.
But now, as he finished perusing his articles, he decides that perhaps he should reenter the childrens lives, such as they are. Surely Jola, Jaycynda, and Sidartha have recovered from their wounds by now. Maybe now was the time to make contact.
He moved to the lower chambers, stepping into a white circle and took a seat on the small desk therein.
Shortly thereafter, the room went dark, with the exception of a slight glow around Jorah. He crossed his hands in front of his mouth and waited quietly for contact.
Voice One: "You have initiated the first two stages, Jorah, are you prepared to implement stage three?"
" Yes, I am indeed prepared."
Voice Two: "We are not tolerable of failure, Jorah, will the plans be carried out on the projected schedule?"
" Have I deviated from it thus far?"
Voice Two " No, not yet. But we are skeptical with the interest you have taken in these three females. It is purely for our plans, correct?"
" That is correct."
Voice Three: "You have used three of our Angels in the testing attacks, are you planning to use more?"
" It may be nessacery. There are other participants to consider. The three have... friends. Formidable allies. The power of some was unforeseen. However, it will be dealt with accordingly."
Voice Two and Three: " I see."
Voice Four: "How much will this project continue to cost us?"
Voice Five: " Nothing over our projected estimates thus far, everything is proceeding according to the schedules."
Voice Three: " And what of the Fourth Child? Has that one been found yet?"
Voice Six: " Not yet, no. It is still indeterminate whether the fourth is male or female. Quite possibly the subject may not be human at all, considering the location."
Voice Two, three, and Four: "Interesting." "This requires more information."
Voice Four: "Providing it doesn't exceed our costs."
" It won't. There is far too much infighting in their land that they won't truly notice our venture until such time as we make it known."
Voice One: " This is a positive aspect for our designs. Things are proceeding as we have foreseen. There should be no complications for some time."
Voice Two: "The rest of this meeting does not concern you."
Voice Three: "Your presense has been.. appreciated."
"Understood."
The glow faded from around him as he stood, making his way back towards his chambers. He shook his head and chuckled darkly to himself.
"The old men are nervous. Everything must go to their plans... Bah."
Jorah takes his seat at his study desk, retrieved his book and opened it to the marked page, resuming his reading casually as if there was nothing occupying his mind.
"Full House, Aces high."
Part Three.

It was strange.
Weeks had gone by since the last attack, and nothing. No word, no attacks...nothing. Perhaps Jorah had gotten bored with them, and had moved on to people who would actually squirm under his torture.
Sidartha finally thought she could relax a bit, when it came to Khan Jorah, that is. Things had been chaos in the Community since the death of Dal's father. And now..now Seamus had injured her love's leg further and Sid feared that it will most likely never be healed completely. She spent her time running back and forth from Malenia, Mountainside and Dalamar's cottage. Her only time to relax and blow off some steam was in the Arena.
Life was going on in a whirlwind around her, and she had nearly forgotten about Khan Jorah.

Lazy.
That's about how Jola felt, once again. Where was Khan? That was like a bad dream. The only two lingering results were that Ulath was still dead, and her eyesight was still...off. She wasn't exactly blind anymore, she could see. But her eyes didn't shimmer with her emotions, maybe her emotions were cold black now. In any case, she had a new sight, one where she saw more through her mind than her eyes.
Still, she was lazy. So lazy that she actually dozed off on the caller's couch yesterday, when there was no one else in the arena. So lazy that she didn't notice Khan's approach until he was almost upon her. When she opened her eyes, she didn't know who it was. And when his touch burned her forehead, leaving two fingertip marks there, she remained confused.
"Who are you?" she even had to ask. She knew though, within a few more moments. It was Khan Jorah, he hadn't given up on them.
He was taunting her, he said he could make her stop loving Wil so that when he killed Wil, it wouldn't hurt so much. Or something like that. She just really wasn't understanding him. Had her mind gotten that soft?
And then, when Tom came in, Jorah beheaded him! Jola was horrified and...weak. She didn't, couldn't do anything to stop him. How could he kill a friend like that! And what happened next was even more unbelievable. He picked up Tom's head as if it were just an object, and set it back on Tom's body. With a gesture, Tom was whole again, and alive.
Khan left, laughing.
As for Jola, she went in search of something to, at the very least, shock her senses into gear. Time to find her old contacts and say hello to her old addictions once more. At least then, she was wired and ready.
