Catching up on the news

The orc sat out on the patio in front of the brewery looking over the latest edition of Duely Noted while sipping at the last of the winter stock of Bane's Brew. It wasn't often that he had the time to just kick back and relax for a bit. There always seemed to be so much to do around the brewery. Even now, there were plans to make for the spring season once the snow finished melting. The orc sighed to himself. It was nice to be able to enjoy the quiet as he looked out at the barren streets and closed shops. The air was crisp and the remnants of snow still lingered on the ground. The last icicles hanging on the corners of the brewery were melting slowly. Jake could see light coming from the Deli, so Ian must be up and around as well. Soon the morning traffic would begin, the shops would open, and the residents of Rhydinwould come out and begin their days, but for now it was quiet. The sun has nearly risen above the horizon and already the day was beginning to warm. A new day. A new year. A new season for the brewery. The orc smiled to himself. Something told him it was going to be a good year. With a final smile to himself, the orc took another sip of his ale and returned to reading the comic section of the paper.
