Ladies and gentlemen.......On this the 19th evening of the month of January we have the honor of witnessing the challenge by Roland Sal for the honor of wearing the Second Barons ring held for two years
by the Baron AJayBird. The baron stands an even 6' in height, with a wingspan of a full 8' when outstretched. With a weight of 185 pounds. His Place of Birth: Ballentyne, and his House: Atrebla. He duels under the colors of Sapphire Blue with Silver&Black. His coat of arms : A dual set of light blue-hued wings trimmed in black, PTSIZE=10>emerging from a silver shield set on a sapphire blue background. The left wing is clutching a sacred scroll, which represents knowledge......While the right wing clutches a longsword bearing ancient runes etched in the steel which refers to its origin... PTSIZE=10>He is seconded by the elf Spikeushell and duels for the honor of his wife " the absolutely radiant Lady Sher
The challenger Roland Sal holds his loyalties to New Mountainside and the newly formed Order of Valor. He duels under the colors of the Dark blues of New Mountainside and the white sash of the Order. He is seconded by Andur Salsinger and Prince Rehn Sal RoaPTSIZE=10>and his lady of honor is Queen Luthien Tinuviel and Princess Riley Sal Roa. The Challenger also wishes that the following be mentioned on his behalf.....The Dueling Praxeum members and staff, the Crimson Fury dueling team, all of New Mountainside, and last but not least, the people who came out to see
the event.
AND THE CALLER CALLED AND THE DUELERS DUELLED:
RING OF HONOR round 1:: Both the Baron and the challenger circle seeking to find an opening. With an unfurling of wings and the singing of steel The Baron cuts High catching the challenger parrying Low and fancily.
RING OF HONOR round 1:: 1-0 AJ
RING OF HONOR round 2:: Both duelers recover and reset preparing strategies in their minds and then like a LANG="0">bolt of lightning Both thrust in fast and hard each impaling the other and each scoring blood, pain and a FACE="Sherwood" LANG="0">point
RING OF HONOR round 2:: 2-1 AJ
RING OF HONOR round 3:: Both duelers withdrawthemselves and their blades from each other resetting and preparing for the next foray. The Challenger turns and brings the blade High and arcing in a most skillfull LANG="0">High cut but the Baron wary from many years in his post fancily ducks and rolls to the side avoiding the cut and gaining the advantageous position for the next round
RING OF HONOR round 3:: 3-1 AJ
RING OF HONOR round 4:: The Challenger quickly and fancily dances to the side to catch the rolling Baron off guard , but the Baron again shows poise and finess rising from the duck and roll and arcing High catching theFAMILY="SERIF" FACE="Century Schoolbook" LANG="0"> Challenger in mid dance
RING OF HONOR round 4:: 4-1 AJ
RING OF HONOR round 5:: Tha challenger regains his footing and turns quickly leveling his blade and thrusting out into thin air falling prone at the feet of the baron who fancily danced out of harms way
earning him another defence and the chance to do it again
RING OF HONOR round FINAL:: Baron AJayBird2 defeats the Challenger Roland Sal 5-1 in 5 rounds earning him the right to retain yet again the Second barons ring
Thus the thirty onlookers were treated to a duel of historic proportions as the Baron did defend his ring in a most honorable challenge by Roland Sal.
So it was witnessed, so it has been written, so let it become part of History!
