A Simple Answer

"Do not grasp truth, do not grasp untruth, and do not grasp that which is not untrue."
- (Diamond Cutter Sutra)

When baron is challenged, overlord will consider and make decision on intercession. When overlord is challenged, overlord will consider and make decision of test of worthiness.

Is simple enough, heya.

So... who is it you wish make challenge to?

See Sid. I know that they are two different things but the answer was similiar for both. I was just saying that I wished that the Overlord would at least say that he favored ToW over not using it or vice versa and the same for intercession.

The Test of Worthiness, merely by implication of its title, denotes that those felt unworthy should be tested.

The Overlord decides this by whatever he deems worthiness to be.

Let it be no secret that I will issue challenge to the new Baroness Zafiroo. She bested me for the ring in the Warlord Tourney. We fought a good match, and I wish to fight an other one with her under similar circumbstances.

::shrugs to Avery:: He, huh? Sheesh, I couldn't remember either way; can't blame Cletus. Don't remember what colors eyes that Zaf guy had, color hair, what he wore, what kind of weapon he dueled with. ::rubs his head:: <m> I better not be getting old...

::patting Cletus on the back as he makes the change:: Ain't no thang, man... I doubt anybody really knows one way or the other.

::walks off, humming under his breath and smoking on his cig::

It heartens me to hear an Overlord explain himself simply and intelligently without getting complicated or shadowing true feelings, or rather make general blanketting statements.

In short, this Overlord, as all should, will look at challenges as a case by case basis what he feels should be warranted. His only criteria for determining that will be his criteria because he is Overlord, and it is his right and priviledge to do so. And as always if you don't like they way the Overlord does things, then you become Overlord, and try to do it better if you think your way is better.

It would be totally assinine to take such an extremist view of either of those items as an Overlord. Common sense would dictate that the ToW and Intercessions should not always take place, and, on the other hand, should not always leave out the possibility of it.

Unagi has said what he meant. Would you like him to lie and tell you that he is either totally for or totally against those things? What he has said, in not so many words, that he will decide from situation to situation whether the surcomstance calls for it, and not before.

To ask him to say that he will do otherwise would be asking him to lie.

No one is as worthy as the Overlord.

~@~

That is why the decision is left to him. How did this tired debate start up again?
