The Return of Team Dueling

Ladies and Gentlemen, and otherwise, of the Duel of Swords~

It is my pleasure to announce that the RhyDin Team Dueling League, on hiatus for nearly eight years, will again begin competition shortly.

At present, Team Questrion, captained by King Valmion, and Team Lathadoscia, captained by Baphelocutis est Lathadoscia, have already submitted their intent to join the league. Those who have arranged teams with intent to participate in the exhibition matches are welcome to submit their rosters to the Commissioner's Office.

After observation of the exhibitions, and brief discussions, the rules used by the former incarnation of the RTDL will be utilized, with minor alterations. These rules are available from the League Offices. In short, the only complex portion of these rules is the match scoring system, and the rules for individual rankings. For the first season of the League's rebirth, duelers will possess the ranks they maintain in the Duel of Swords standings effective upon their first appearance in a league match.
Team rosters may consist of up to seven duelers; only five may participate in a given match, and no substitutions to the seven-person roster, outside of permanent trades between teams or permanent replacement on the roster, will be permitted.

Persons who organize teams which fail to meet their commitments will be barred from the League for no less than two seasons. Be aware. This problem led, in great part, to the demise of the league in the past.

The Commissioner's Office would like to extend its gratitude to those who have made the exhibition matches a success, particulalry Valmion, Baphelocutis, Captain Ellisa Morgan, and those who dueled for their teams, and looks forward to the launch of a grand new chapter in its existence.

Registration has been accepted for an as yet unnamed team consisting of the current Overlord, Dalamar arD'aumon, Alec Damron, Goldendust Evermeadow, Xyclone, and the Jakvaltrds, Seamus MacDonnaugh.

Current status:

Six teams have registered. The Commissioner's Office is still awaiting the following:

- Confirmation of the roster of Team Lathadoscia
- Confirmation of the roster of Team Loincloth
- The roster of House Dragoon-Talanador
- A couple of team names.

Registration for this season is limited to two more teams. If two teams have not registered by the close of business on Tuesday, the opening season will begin with six teams. Those six teams, in the event of registrations arriving from seven teams, will include the first six teams to have presented full rosters to the Commissioner's Office.

Duelers:

Registration for new teams in the inaugural season of the RhyDin Team Dueling League is now officially closed.

Applications, and a roster of at least five duelers, have been received from the following eight teams:

House Questrion
Team Lathadoscia
Team Loincloth
The Champions of Avalon
House Dragoon-Talanador
Team Fist
Femme Fatales
and the team including the Overlord, which I have not yet received a name for.

At the close of business tomorrow, team rosters and the first season's schedule will be made public, and the process of pairing duelers for the first wekk's matches will commence.

Captains with only five duelers on your roster, be reminded that you are still free to expand your roster to seven duelers at any time, conversant to the rules on roster moves.

Duelers who are not currently on a roster, who wish to be added to the Free-Agent Pool, are welcome to apply to the Commissioner's Office for inclusion. Additionally, provisional applications for expansion teams for the following season will eb considered.
