::This was the last straw. He had put up two of the same peer wins, and left one with him and Avery out. Why bother now? He couldn't think since she was gone, he couldn't duel since she was gone. All he could do, was miss her.
Xeric sat in their bed and thought about the whole situation. Something had to be done. The only person he loved in the DoS, was gone, and now he felt like he was in a city of strangers. The ashes of a dead fire were so cold to him.
He didn't know what to do, so he did the only thing he could. As his horse galloped out of the city heading for Jade with him tight in the mount, he paused, turned and looked back. He couldn't leave forever, but he had to be with her for a while. He turned back around, and away he rode into the night.
