Rask's wanderings, part 1

:: Rask strolled by the Arena. Years ago, when he had first come to the duels, he had worked regularly calling the swords matches. But, the Outback was in desperate need of officials back then, so that's where Rask had been sent. As time went on and he was eventually chosen as the supervisor of the Outback, Rask had less and less time to spend in the Arena. He always liked the Arena. There was something elegant
about dueling with a blade. Not as brutal, as primal as some of the fights in the Outback. Rask didn't like to fight. Especially in the Outback. Bruising didn't become him. Not to say that he would like to fight with a sword, but for whatever reason he found it more easily viewed. He did indeed like the Arena.

Recently, he had found himself calling a challenge match here and there in the Arena. It reminded him of how he enjoyed his time spent there. Even more recently he had been selected as Coordinator of all the duels. Maybe it was time for some kind of event that could bring the entire community together, at least for a night. It had been a long time since a single event had called to each of the three duels.

He continued on by the Arena, heading towards the Outback. Take everything slowly, he reminded himself. Maybe once things are settled we can work on some kind of event ::(( to be continued on the Duel of Fists message board ))


(( OOC note: two reasons for this post. First, while it might be a little bit of time before we can organize a big IC event for everyone, remember that the community has an OOC meeting regularly scheduled. In fact, there is one coming up this Thursday, April 20th at 9 p.m.. It's the perfect chance for everyone to get together and talk about their ideas, comments, problems, concerns or whatever. so, keep your eye on the community meeting schedule.

Second, if any of you have any ideas for an event that would not be restricted to a single dueling area (( something in which anyone from the Arena, Outback or Isle can participate in )) let me know! =) I will certainly work on getting something organized. ))
