I had a dream...

There was a place where people took part in a sport.

They did it because it was fun and gave them a chance to interact and meet new people and challenge themselves personally. They dinna take part to gain title or power. They met despite their differences and all became a sort of a family. Nay a close mind ye but one were respect was given for the love of the thing they all shared together, the sport.

Where no one was spit on for expressing their ideas , and differing ideas were looked at before and nay dismissed out of hand.

Where people could see the challenges that lay in everyday matches and be proud that they did well and be courteous to those that did fall.

Where those that mastered the sport, always taught those that were starting.

Where people just plain enjoyed what was their past-time and dinna bicker and argue of moot points.

It wasn't Rhydin.

I dinna ken...

Maybe it was Utah...

::going on with his idea::

I have been in the highlands (not the draceonian ones either), and I did see into the valley below. Though t'was dark and the journey hard, the flowers did bloom in the valley and I walked on t'ward the dream. Aye I was awake now. Aye there were bothers all along the way, but I walked on because the dream was worth the effort. So now I make my journey, I work towards the dream. Aye tis not Rhydin now, but it can be if we have faith that the work that we put into it will make it better to those that
follow us.

Who goes with me?

Who will work beside me, for I ask no man to follow me but all to work to what can be if we work hard enough?

For me, I will walk now. I will not wait to see who will come for it must come from inside you. If you step forward to make a show, you do not have the vision of what I have seen.

I have seen the promised land, can you? Will you make the journey with me?

::chuckles::

((No, it aint Utah...Been there, done that...it's just not *quite* as obvious))

::on a more serious note::

Aye..The land in need of changing..the task is a singular one, but no less difficult for it's simplicity. We must change our attitudes.

There was once a duelist in the Old Age.
A duelist who only dueled Warlords.
He was a master of the blade, but taught naught.
He became Overlord, and had to be slain to let go.
No one complained he only dueled Warlords.
None bickered about his selfishness or lack of skill on the boards for months to follow.
The duelists' ways have not changed, everybody else just complains more in this current day.
The Warlords' ways stayed the same for years.
And were not considered sinful until the jealous thought them so.
The duelist shall never change.
Only the critics.
