Matters of the 5th and 13th

::having heard hints and allegations concerning the death of the Baron of the 13th and the claiming of the 5th by certain parties, Nyck, acting under his own will and desire for civilty, pens a letter to the people of RhyDin::


My friends, and those who love the ancient sport of swords.

Though there has been no positive declartion unto me concerning the Baron of the 13th or his whereabouts. It his been inferred that said Baron is deceased.
Should these rumors be true I am in a quandry over the crafted ring which was in his possession. There are many here who are privy to things those of us in uniform are not and I would implore you to seek out the truth, take hold of the seemingly missing ring and see that it finds its way to the council of Barons or to the Overlord of the sport for safe keeping until it may be rewarded, as in the past, to the rightful winner of the next Warlords
Tournament.

In the matter of the former, and most honorable Baron of the 5th, Vecetetrix Gavin Favre.
I assume, and mind you, this is an assumtion on my part, Rix should be alive if the Baron of the 13th is dead.It would stand to reason, given the former Barons feelings for the ring of the 5th, he would have taken possession of the ring and it would be in his safe keeping. I would hope the former Baron would do what is right by the ring and the community at large by returning it to its rightful place.
The ring is not the possession of any individual, including my self or the others in the commission, but the community as a whole. Former Baron Favre, should you see this message or word of it find its way to you, I ask that you do the right thing.

You alone have the power to do what is right and maintain the honor which is represented by this ring.
There will be no spells cast, nor assassins hired for its retrieval.
The community and the council can do little more than wait for you to do what is right in your heart.

I sign this as a member of this community, not as a member of a commission.

Until such time as the person who gave me the Fifth ring loses the title of Baron, I see no reason to give it to an official.

As Ms. Stone has said, the man known as "the Blindfold Proxy" currently owns the title of Baron of the Fifth. If he chooses to give the ring to another person while he holds that title, that is his perogative. So, he still holds the title and I hold the ring. It will stay that way at least until he loses his title.

I will consider the ring to be in good hands until such time as one who holds it in such low esteem has his title removed.

Community,

I was told that the matter of the recalling
spells placed on the Baronial Rings would go before the Council as a debatable issue, this mayhaps as a lieu for the Commission to retrieve at least one of the Rings. The issue still hasn't gone forward to the Council. I understand the Commission may be busy, but I doubt that anyone in position to return either Title would willingly do so when an end of the bargain hasn't been held up. Just seems odd to me...
