Overlord Challenge Results

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Duel of Swords
This evening, on November 14th, I was given the honor to witness the challenge issued by Baron Verceterix Favre unto Overlord Seamus MacDonnaugh for the right to wear the Overlord's crown.

The Overlord chose to test the Baron, with Warlord Avery Shiv Blade performing the test. Baron Magnus then offered to intercede for the Baron, but stepped down when he heard he already had a champion. Warlord Sartan stood to duel for the Baron. The match was short and close throughout, with Avery taking the lead only once in the match. That lead was in the final round, though, when he caught Sartan mistiming his duck, and winning it 5-4 in 7
rounds.

It was then Rix's turn to take the test. He dueled under the Crimson and Black Banner, using Icebreaker to duel for the honor of Ally. Warlord Nova stood at his side as his second.

This duel was not to be so short. The first few trades resulted in no score, before Avery took the lead. Rix would then take the time to tie it up, and then take the lead away. A few rounds later, Avery retook the lead, and sealed the win in a grueling sixteen rounds to secure Seamus' right to wear the crown, 7-6.
