The Flyer(s)

The day following the culmination of the most recent Warlord tournament, a profusion of flyers could be found scattered throughout the Arena: two or three to each table, a dashed line atop the bar, and a cluster diffused over the cork. The glossy side of each flyer brandished the bold-pink cursive of "The Blindfold" across a black backdrop. The other side read thus:

Join us at The Blindfold Arena
every Wednesday night for an exciting match
in which two combatants duel TO THE DEATH!

Come place your bets!

The Blindfold can be found on the West RhyDin Town along Harrowgate Highway, at mile post 86.

All parties interested in participating in a Wednesday night match may apply in person at The Blindfold. Winners receive half of all gambling profits brought in by the match and a free week's stay at our hotel. Grudge matches are welcome!

He shook his head upon reading one of the flyers, turned it around and tacked it up on the board with the rest, it read:

"I thought Guilds were the only ones who performed death matches. And aside from that, what's to gain from fighting to the death.

If a grudge is there, then perhaps I could understand it, but to fight to the death for money, that's just disrepectful and sad.

To those who wish to join in on these primitive fights, not that it matters, but you lose respect from me.

It is your choice.

G"

Tacked and left there, he heads on his way.

Harris or Cassius Maximius.

Whichever comes first. I'll be there. Will you?

If I were to kill, maim, or bludgeon either Drey or Dominic it would be on my own time, and not for the entertainment of drunks. Have a nice day.

We could always do Thumb Wrestling to the death. Or hey, When we duel during the official hours, if we lose, we could kill the guy outside the Arena.

If you want to bet on fights, your best way to do so, and continuously gain money, is to place bet on duels where noone dies.

Why? If people die, you run out of betting fodder.

The End.

Damn, buds, don't y'all know the value of spectacle? Marketed right, people'll watch anything, and gamble on anything. Not to mention some'll do anything for fame.

O, and one extra death a week ain't gonna matter in a place where 3/4 of the females are pregnant at any given time. Population's booming, friends.
