Ladies and Gentlemen
This evening, on December 30th, I was given the honor to witness the challenge issued by Warlady Dalila unto Overlord Blindfold Proxy for the right to bear the title of Overlord. As this was the challenge issued as the Warlord Tourney prize, there was no intercession; however, the match was fought in the best of three format.
The Proxy fought with no second or Lady of Honor. He dueled under a black sign with the pink letters which read "The Blindfold."
Dalila fought with Andur Salsinger as her second, and Sir Robert as her Lord of Honor. She fought under a red, blue, and yellow banner to signify the elements of fire, ice, and lightning.
The first match clearly went in Dalila's favor. The Overlord had tentative techniques for the first six rounds, which led to Dalila taking a 3-1 lead. The final two rounds had him swinging, but both times Dalila was ready with some defense of her own to take the match 5-1 in 8 rounds.
The second match was also hard fought equally, but this time Proxy gave Dalila a lot more pain. Still, he was able to take the lead only once in the match, and it was for but a round. After that, Dalila held a steady lead all the way through Overtime, where she took the second match 6.5-5 in 12 rounds.
Thus, Dalila is the new Overlord, or in this case, Overlady, in the Duel of Swords. Andur Salsinger announced his alignment as loyal when inquired. Congratulations to Dalila and the Blindfold Proxy for a well fought challenge!

The 12th shall remain renegade, seeings how I hardly know this person....much like the last person.
Though, I am glad she got rid of that Proxy person. I got the creeps everytime he/she came near. You know, I just thought of something....I never even knew if the Proxy was male or female...what with all the robes and stuff it wore..keeping it's head covered all the time and stuff.
Of course, this is all academic and may change in the passing of the days ahead.

In the middle of the night following the Overlord match, eight employees of The Blindfold decked out in black arrived in the Arena and swarmed the statues, disjoining their feet from the great serendipitine slab and bolting them to the stone floor. The statues were then left behind, as the Blindfold cronies hefted the slab out of the Arena.

To all, you have my gratitude for your congratulatory notices. I gave my word that I would make all attempts to be a pro-active leader, and I shall endeavor to be a properly humble and welcoming ambassador of the Light in these halls
To the Barons: I cannot claim surprise at the notion that at least one of your number will not claim Loyal status due to unfamiliarity; I do not begrudge this action, and rather expect to witness others coming to similar conclusions.
Though gaining favor is not a specific goal of mine, I do hope there will be opportunity for myself to meet each of you. I believe it wise for the health of the Arena's spirit for all those leaders of good inclination to show a joined, united front against any evil which may be brought against this place in the future, so that the patrons may know all that is possible will be done to keep them in relative safety here.
