To the Dueling Community,
Be it known that at 10 in the evening tomorrow, Tuesday February 11 by some reckoning, I will face the Renegade Baron of the Thirteenth, known by some as Drachen.
The format of the match will be announced at the event. For my own particulars, my Second will be Jaycynda Ashleana, and I will duel for the honor of the lady Elle McBride under the banner of the Golden House.
As a final note, it is my great hope that I will prove able to defeat a foul presence from the Baronial ranks. The Baron Drachen's unsuitability for his title was evidenced by his use of force against an innocent bystander in an attempt to extract compensation already promised freely.

I cannot speak to the Baron's reasons, but I am dissapointed in his lack of courage. Fortunately, Cassius Maximius is still willing to put his blade behind his words, and so the dueling community will not be entirely deprived of spectacle.
I shall announce the particulars of that duel as soon as they are available.

Unfortunately, I cannot claim to know the esteemed Mr. Billy Ray Karnafexx. Perhaps that is for the best, considering his gleeful ability to make pejorative remarks about those whom he has never met.
Mr. Karnafexx, you may find me most evenigs in the Arena during regular hours. Perhaps you would like to determine for yourself the nature and character of my person and my reign. Or, should Cassius prove unable to remove the title from me, perhaps you would rather make such a determination in other ways.
As far as Lady Ganderfald's determination of my unsuitability, I was not aware that friendship made one unworthy. Perhaps those who show themselves friendly are rewarded with friendship, and nothing else is involved. Or perhaps rancor knows no such limitation.

How is it that Drachen could challenge, then dropped his challenge, then Cassius is quickly on the challenge? What ever happened to these things being explained on the boards or in the Standings?

Well it just so happens I was on my way to put all that info on the cork for you to see, seeing as how all this happened in the past few days, other than Cas' original challenge, the standings have yet to be posted that would spell it out.
Remy was on Vacation, I was acting as SK and he is now back to complete the cycle.
I will try and explain how this came to be in a seperate postin, He may spell out what he sees in this one the morrows standings, but I shant speak for him

As for learning swordsmanship from Elle, a great many within the sport could do far worse than to take that advice.
