Results of the Challenge to the Third (Ticallion vs. Kateri)

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Duel of Swords

On the evening of May 4th, I was given the honor to witness the challenge issued by Warlord Kateri unto Baron Ticallion for the right to wear the 3rd Baron's Ring of the Duel of Swords.

Baron Ticallion dueled under the Wrecking Crew banner, with Chris Graziano standing as his second.

Warlord Kateri dueled under the Butcher's Banner, two hatchets crossed beneath a green skull. Raven stood as her second.

The match was fought in a best of three format.

In the first match, Kateri begun with a strong lead before there was a pause in the scoring for a short time. Eventually, Ticallion would catch up and take the lead for a brief time, before Kateri regained the lead and took the match after the next exchange. The final score was 6-4.5 in 13 rounds.

The second match had the widest margin of victory between two duelists. Once again, Kateri started strong, but Ticallion came back twice to tie it. Ticallion ran away with the duel after tying it the second time, taking it 5-2 in 9 rounds.

The third and final match clearly belonged to the defending Baron, or so it seemed. He opened the scoring, something he did not do in the other two duels. He followed up with three more consecutive points to have a 4-0 lead after four rounds. However, Kateri was not to fall so easily, and spent the next four rounds scoring, and bringing herself within a 4-3.5 deficit. Unlike the first match, however, there would be no leads to exchange. Ticallion kept hold of the lead, and eventually ended the match in the same score as the first: 6-4.5 in 10 rounds.

Congratulations to Ticallion and Kateri for an excellently fought duel.
