Collie.

Good luck tae ye in biddin' on th' Blade. There be few indeed I would trust tae do th' right thing in this matter, an' ye are certainly high on thet list.

Ser Jak.

As me friend Collie did say, there be many worlds besides th' one ye come from. Th' Church o' my world seems tae be quite different from most thet I've heard of, an' especially different from what ye described.

But as I said, ifin ye wish tae discuss such things, ye should speak with Cardinal Francis some time.

Know what..

With my vast financial empire continuing to grow, what with the corporate control I wield, I am slightly surprised that it had not occurred to me to make a bid before now. I figured it was something a bit silly.

But, since I have a thing for Asian items,(Some of you may remember that mail order bride I had a bit ago) I figure I should toss my wallet into the ring.

To the Owner of the Sword,

I bid double the last bid. And my feedback is filled with a lot of A++. I pay cash and not GoldPal. So, that should be good to go.

Here is a plan for all those believing the esteemed Baron deserves his sword.

Start a pool. All I have to offer is 3500 gold. Forget about the "I will win it for the proper owner." Work together.

I donate 3500 gold to the pool.

Collie, you are certainly welcome to step into a ring some time and give it a try.

Looks to me like the current bid should be about 17,000, even though G didn't specify his bid, only that he would be double the last bid.

I tender a bid of 18,000 gold crowns.

My money's on Colleen on that one, Jak. And if for whatever reason she can't do it, I most certainly will.

I'm puzzled why everyone is so fascinated with gelding me.

You do realize that's not where my tongue is, right, Grayson?

But, you too are certainly welcome to hop into a ring and give it a try, sport. Personally, I'd bet more money on Collie than I would you. But, hey, she's more intimidating than you.

Past Keeper of Water...is that like retaining water? Did you pork out? Or does it mean you were able to keep from wetting yourself? I didn't realize that was something worth bragging about.

I think th' Keeper o' Water thing has somethin' tae do with th' Magickers... It's nae somethin' I keep up with.

I do like yer explinations better though, they seem tae match up with Grayson best.

Jak,

Fair enough, I'll see you in the rings sometime after Yuletide. I no longer duel while pregnant. If you think that's too long a wait, I'm sure my daughter, Rhiannon, would be willing to have a go with you in the ring.

Colleen MacLeod

Grayson,

My thanks for the offer.

Collie

Jak,

No that's not where your tongue is, but you'll need your tongue to swear successfully if anyone does geld you.

Colleen MacLeod

Daryl,

I'm not sure of how the sword came to be in the possession of the current holder. Has anyone seen Unagi lately to ask him? If it's stolen property then all bets should be cancelled by the auction service.

I like your idea of a pool, but until Unagi comes forward to speak or tack a note on the cork, should we not give the benefit of the doubt to the seller as to the legitimacy of its acquistion?

Collie

Unagi san,

If you are out there, please post a note to the cork on the subject of a blade of yours that has been posted for auction.

Colleen

Another bid is place: 25000 gold.

What...now even your daughter wants to geld me? Has anyone suggested counseling for this unnatural obsession?

I bid 26,000 gold crowns.

Jak,

I suggest you read what is here and not make inferences. I said if Yuletide was too long to wait that Rhiannon would duel you, not geld you.

I'd like to place a bid of 20,000 gold pieces on the sword of Baron Miyamoto. It belongs in its rightful place.

I'll loan you 50 cents.

Then you loan that 50 cents back to me, then I'll loan you the full dollar.

Re: Japanese heavy metal on the block

She reads Sprite's note: "I'd like to place a bid of 20,000 gold pieces on the sword of Baron Miyamoto. It belongs in its rightful place. "

and writes.....

Sprite,

You are about 6000 short of the current bid, but if you want to toss your 20,000 in with the 25,000 I bid previously, that would put it at 45,000.

Whoever holds this blade needs to contact me at the Invercauld address.
I will pay above and beyond all bids at the time of closing. Call it a proxy bid if'n ya will. The blade needs to be taken off the block and either returned to the Warlord Myamoto Unano or stored in safe keeping for the future.
I intend to one or the other at whatever the cost.
