Keeper of Water Challenge Match

From: DUEL Topaz

This evening Cory and Flora met to decide which of the two would be the keeper of water. Flora chose water lilies decorated ring Amber to have the matches in.
Only two of three matches were fought. Cory dominated both matches, and won both of them with a score of 5 to 3; the first one in a very quick 6 rounds, the second one in 9 rounds.

The challenge matches went like this:
First Match:
Round 1: Both cast mind whips.
Round 2: Both cast and got stung by wizard blades.
Round 3: Cory's nether ray won out over Flora's mind whip.
Round 4: Flora was struck by Cory's mind whip despite having cast herself into armor.
Round 5: Cory was drenched by a tidal wave while Flora was struck by Cory's nether ray.
Round 6: Cory was buried under a pile of meteors while Flora was struck by another mind whip.

Match 2:
Round 1: Flora's arctic blast provided her no protection from Cory's mage bolt.
Round 2: Flora was pushed back by Cory's nether ray before she could touch Cory with fear.
Round 3: Flora reflected Cory's meteor shower.
Round 4: Flora failed to touch fear into Cory as she was struck by Cory's mage bolt.
Round 5: Cory turned Flora's arctic blast into foul mess with his foul fog spell.
Round 6: Flora's wizard blades re-directed Cory's nether ray.
Round 7: Flora displaced from the path of Cory's wizard blades.
Round 8: Flora was shoved back by Cory's nether ray before she could get close enough to deliver her fear touch spell.
Round 9: Cory's mind whip struck Flora , causing her wizard blades to drop before they were properly aimed.

After the matches the goblin Francis presented Cory with the key to the tower of water. Right away the flowers and stones of the beautiful garden that used to surround the tower of water started to disintegrate into a disgusting sort of green sludge, which then broke up and drifted out to sea.

Soon after, as Cory approached the shoreline a daunting archway of cascading falls emerged from the depths to lead the path to the Tower, which was already reshaping itself to his liking. Pillar after mountainous pillar of water streamed up to form the new fortress. When he reached the door the key slid into the lock with ease, the door simply vaporized before him and he stepped through.

Cory was heard explaiming: "Ooooo.. purdy! "

Congratulations to Flora for being such a great Keeper of Water for eight months.

Congratulations to Cory. May he do as well.
