A perfect example of the virtue, Sprite sat quietly in the tree. Trained eyes kept watch for the hunter, and equally honed ears were wary for any sounds that seemed out of place. He knew by now that Unagi would be near, and had even seen some of Lorance's men wandering about. He did not trust them. The were warriors, trained in armed combat, but no match for a master of stealth such as Unagi.

He had heard it. Finally, what he had been waiting for. The sound of bone splitting alerted the elf to the presence of someone nearby. He knew that Lor wanted Unagi alive. It wouldn't have been his bones splitting. He could only hope that it wasn't Lorance that had been struck. He could not look through the top of the trees to find out whether it was Lorance or one of his sellswords that had been killed.

Either way, Sprite would wait. He knew that the time was near now. The samurai would eventually show himself.
