After Fiona fell asleep, Grayson retreated to the ramparts of the Silent Castle. He remained there all night, through each shift of the guards, always watching. The chances that the man knew Fiona was at the Castle were slimmer than slim, but he didn't care. The morning would come soon enough, and with it would come the hunting of Nash McCoy.

The grounds around the Castle were quiet, save for the patrolling of the guards and such. . .not that it stopped him from doing his own patrolling. That little fragger wasn't going to get away clean with what he'd done. And if Grayson didn't catch him, he'd better be praying to all the gods he knew of that Pslyder wasn't the next one to find him. . .
