All this laying around was getting on his nerves. He kept up his bargain with Chaz and Fi, eating his two full meals and drinking all the liquid vitamin drek they would throw at him. He picked a moment when Chaz was busy working in the Forge and Fi was somewhere else in the Armory, then he'd found his stuff quickly. . .they hadn't counted on Moonberyl being quite so. . .attached to him. After dressing and gearing up as quickly and silently as possible, he left a quick note on the counter. Then he quietly walked out of the armory, off to do some heavy duty thinking. "Hey y'all. Jus' lettin' y'all know Ah ain't goin' out ta do nothin' foolish. . .jus' some thinkin'. These've been some crazy fragged-up days, an' there's a whole mess'a stuff Ah gots ta sort through. Ah did wanna say thanks, though. Thanks fer haulin' mah sorry hoop outta tha mess Ah'd dropped mahself inta. An' thanks a whole lot fer givin' a devil rat's hoop about me. Thaht's one'a tha thangs Ah gots ta muddle over. It's somethin' rather new fer me. Ah'll be around, Ah promise. An' no more'a this runnin' on empty drek either. Pslyder."

He was back up on that mountain again, this time in a much clearer state of concentration, but still his mind was still swirling with the events of the past couple of days. He knew without a doubt that PJ wasn't being held in Rhy'din proper, so that left very little he could do to rectify that situation. He pondered how he'd gotten to this point, how he'd been affecting other people's lives with his actions, and how he'd found some new friends. . .perhaps friends wasn't quite the word he was looking for. . .

Unbidden, a line from an old animated movie from his youth came to mind. . ."Ohana. Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind. . .or forgotten. . ."

He continued to perch up there, almost in a state of meditation, thinking and thinking very seriously about what has happened and what was to come in the times ahead. . .
