Looky what I found. (Goon)

So late.. sleep was slow in coming, however. Wandering out of the dark forest in which he resides, Goon made his way towards the Outback. The night was rather warm, perhaps that caused his lack of sleep; of course, the mammoth man had never really been affected much by weather in any form.

Long, fat fingers wiped the sleepiness from his eyes as he ambled into the home of his sport. It was empty, of course, the last duels having finished hours ago. Aimlessly, the lug stumbled around the place, bumping into various items of interest as he went. Like tables, chairs, and walls.

Many times he had seen fighters warming up on the sand-filled punching bag. Never had he tried, but curiosity got the best of him this night. Crouching slightly, he wound up, and unleashed a powerful Goon-Hook on the poor, unsuspecting practice device.

*SNAP!*

The chains broke easily under the force of the blow, sending the bag one way and Goon in another, repeating to himself, "Goon no do! Goon no do!" as he went. After scampering halfway across the Outback, Goon turned, panting, a little depressed as broke yet another piece of equipment. Just then a butterfly fluttered by his head, lifting the fighter's spirits and sending him around the building in a haze of bounding glory.

As usual, bounding tended to get Goon out of control, just a bit. This time, just a bit equalled bashing down the locker room door by accident, sending him and the now-two piece door sprawling across the floor. Slowly stumbling to his feet, he looked around. Seeing the door crunched like that sent him into a flailing fit- even he didn't break this much stuff in one night. Usually. Boy, was he going to get it now.

Breaking stuff, accidentally or not, makes one a hungry Goon, and he aimed to relieve that hunger by snagging a snack from his locker. He ambled over, popped it open, and grabbed the large mushroom from inside. "Goon like mushyroom.." the lumbering oaf said with a grin, munching happily on it as his eyes wandered. The lockers, the aisle between the lockers, benches.. more lockers.. and then his locker again.

Blink.

Slowly, a hand reached out for the newly appearing object. It really hadn't concerned him how it got there, so great was his curiosity; he never remembered the flash of blue that glinted out from behind his waiting snack. In his hands, the colored rock seemed almost tiny.. but so smooth to the touch.. what was it?

"Lot pretty..."

Memories from a week past flashed briefly through his head.. but he shook them off. It couldn't be, there was shiny dust to prove it. What it would do was go with his collection of pretty rocks very nicely. Pulling his bag full of coins and gems from his bottomless pit of a vest, Goon dropped the stone inside, then tugged it shut and placed it back where it had been.

Munching on the mushroom in hand, the soon-to-be-retired referee ambled out of the locker room, and towards the main door. Stepping outside, he noticed how much cooler the night had become, even though there was nary a breeze blowing through the town. What a great night for sleeping it would be.
