Luna walked slowly to the door of what used to be her castle. She knew that this day would come sooner or later, and she decided it should be settled now. She had to have a talk with Seth. She knocked on the oaken door, not wanting to just waltz in and alarm Seth.
Seth heard the knocking at the door and rose from his chair to answer it. he mutterd to himself, "Who could it be at this time of night? i do so hope it's Kim." He opened the door slowly and was shocked when he saw Luna there. "What do you think you're doing? I thought you still wanted my head on a silver platter? Please, don't tell me you've come to do the job yourself. Wasn't last time bad enough?" He knew this had to be some kind of trap. Surely,
she wouldn't face him alone.
Luna just stood there, looking at him. "No Seth, I'm not here to fight. I've come, to say.......I'm sorry. I realize why you rebelled against me. I...was wrong in keeping you in my shadow, not letting you lead your own life."
Seth looked at her, completely shocked. "So you've finally realized that I'm not some doll you can show off....That's good to hear. I've changed you know. I too, have learned something since our fight. I'm no longer so angry at the world. I'm actually starting to enjoy life for once. But where are my manners? come on in and take a seat. After all, this is your house too." He led the way into the parlor and took a seat opposite of her.
Seth started the conversation. "I will let you back in here. But there are a few things I want you to realize." He but on his business demeanor and prepared to debate.
Luna looked at him calmly "Sure, go ahead and shoot."
Seth stopped for a second. he thought about using this situation to his advantage, but decided to show that he had reformed. "First off, I want you to treat me like an equal, not like a little kid. Second, we share everything 50-50. This house belongs to both of us and it will stay that way. That's all."
"I find that acceptable. I have just one question before I head up to my room." She started to rise and head up to her tower, but went slowly, not wanting to rush him. "Just what did you do with those fake opals?"

Seth winced at the mention of the opals. He knew that the subject was going to come up sooner or later. Still, he didn't want to talk about it. His business was just that- his. But didn't she just say opals? "How did you know I made more than one? That part isn't public knowledge."
"I didn't tell many people that you made any copies in the first place. Just a few people on the island who don't usually go to the outback." She continued to stand, arms at her side.
"Thanks, I really appreciate it. But you still haven't answered my question." At least no one in the outback knew. Thank goodness for small boons, he thought.
"I didn't really know. I just figured once you had the copy that you got me to make, you could copy the rest. You did always think long term." She decided to sit down, this could take a while. But now, she was getting some answers.
"Correct, sis. I used yours as a template for my own. Each opal, including the blue one, has its own copy that I made. After I was done, I destroyed yours and gave the remaining five to Khorien." He decided that he should be entirely truthful with her. After all, he had to give the impression that he was reformed.
Luna looked somewhat shocked. He just gave them to Khorien? Who knows what was going to happen now. "So what happened after that? You just sitting back and watching your results now?"
Seth smiled. "Not exactly. I've managed to deduce that someone was behind Khorien, someone big and virtually untouchable. But undoubtedly, Khorien has his own plans with the opals. Power does have a habit of corrupting people, you know." He should know. A being with as much raw talent as himself could go a long way in the world.
Luna continued to try to get to the bottom of this mess. "Do you know who was behind him? We should stop him before he can use them. and are you sure that there's nothing you can do now?"
Seth sat back, calmly explaing to her. "As for a name to who was behind khorien, its actually a company. I don't know the name yet, but it's something Inc. As to what i can do, it's very simple. If at any time I feel that things are getting out of hand, I'll just dissolve the opals. They are just made out of sound after all. " He began to sink back ino his old self, cocky and arrogant. But he checked himself before he got into another mess.
Luna was outraged. " Your telling me that this could have been resolved long ago, but you're not doing anything about it?!" She felt like getting up and hitting him, but she somehow managed to control her temper.
Seth clapsed his hands and sighed. "Yes, it's true. But I have good reason for sitting back. If i pull some foolish stunt, they'll kill me. plain and simple. I know the could. I figure my best bet is to work from the inside. That's why I haven't done anything yet. Hopefully, I'll get a meeting soon.
"But please Luna, for both our sakes, let's keep this between ourselves, ok?"
