Tonight I did witness the Challenge by Lupton est Dracoern to the Lady of the 9th ring, Topaz Eludes. The duel was galantly fought and proceeded as follows:
Topaz--FSS--Lupton--SS
Round One:
Ring of Honor: The Baroness prepares, mind set not to allow this first challenger to reach his goal... the stage is set... set for defense..
..Lupton, eager to claim his prize slowly stalks his opponent, intent to keep her blade at a distance...
...such careful maneuvering from the pair as they sidestep each other... waiting for that first chance to strike.
0-0
Topaz---FCP--Lupton--FDCK
Round Two:
Ring of Honor: All stepping aside...the two turn again and face head on, Lupton lunges forward... Topaz's blade immediately cir parries in defense..
..but the Lupton drops in his lunge..to duck fancily into the advantage.
1-0 Lupton
Topaz--SH--Lupton--FCP
Round Three:
Ring of Honor: As the holograms shimmer and fade we witness another round of defensive dueling. The Baroness kneels to stophit whatever her challenger might attempt... but Lupton's Fancy circ parry only fans the air around her bladetip.
1-0 Lupton
Topaz--LC--Lupton---HC
Round Four:
Ring of Honor: The two fall back into the comfortable stalk along the ring's borders..
..neither has a mind for further defense, so casting caution aside they exchange cuts.
The Baroness's blade sweeping low, Lupton's sailing up in a high arc that connects. Dual score.
2-1 Lupton.
Topaz--TH--Lupton--LC
Round Five:
Ring of Honor: The sting of the previous round's hits is still fresh in their minds..
..but no matter.. Lupton and The Baroness exchange yet another pair of blows...
..this time Lupton's blade sweeps low in a cross-cut, seeking another point of contact..
..Topaz's thrust stops his attempt short, securing herself a tied score.
2 all
Topaz--LC--Lupton--TH
Round Six:
Ring of Honor: A mirror image of the previous round...the tide turns on the Baroness and even as she cuts low, Lupton steps into a precise thrust.
3-2 Lupton.
Topaz--FCP--Lupton--HC
Round Seven:
Ring of Honor: After Lupton's success he means to keep his momentum, switching back to cut high...
..the Baroness senses the continued attack...but coming out of her lowcut, parry she spins is circular..and too low to ward off the assault.
4-2 Lupton
Topaz---HC--Lupton---LC
Round Eight:
Ring of Honor: The Baroness concentrates on Lupton's blade...
..she hopes to land her highcut before he can react..
..but Lupton is quick enough and his lowcut captures the final point, which also captures her 9th Ring.
RLupton def. TinyTopaz, 5-3 in 8 rounds.
I did witness the exchange of the 9th ring from Topaz to Lupton.

When Luthien held the Ninth... it was a peaceful year...
So much for peace.

::sees yet another challenge outcome::
M'lady Topaz,
Twas quite a good try for the defense. Don't let it get you down.
Lupton,
Well won.
