Jola was sauntering towards the Arena, her mind occupied by the recent mugging of her sister, when she was hit from behind and crumbled to the ground in a heap. Moments, or minutes, later, she groaned as she awakened, immediately a hand moving to the back of her had where a little blood oozed from a bump there. "I'm slipping..." she murmured angrily to herself, thinking that years ago she never would have been caught off-guard like that. She looked
around quickly to see if the one who accosted her was still around, but she found herself alone on the street.

She sat up and patted herself down to find out what was missing. Instead, she found that she had all her money and belongings, plus one thing extra. A medium sized plain brown envelope, stuffed in her vest.

Her dark brows knit in contemplation as she looked the envelope over, then slowly opened it with a long, sharp fingernail. Her expression turned to surprise, then blanked out as she looked through the contents.

Photographs.

Jola with [Space]Cobra, in varying stages of compromise.

Jola with SteelDream, again, in compromising positions.

Jola, in the Red Dragon Inn, when Grem Alonin nearly killed her, and did succeed in tearing her arm from her shoulder.

Jola in the Arena, Jola in town, Jola with her family.

Jola, in the clothes she is in now, leaving her house.

Lifting her head up slowly, she looked around her and slowly stood. Someone was making a point, that she'd been watched for years, that she was being watched even now. The questions she had were Why, and What were they planning?

Pulling out a lighter, she moved over to a nearby ditch and tossed the envelope and photographs into the small ditch. She crouched down and lit a corner of the envelope with the flame from the lighter, and waited a few moments while she watched the envelope curl with the flames.

Standing up, she waited a little while longer until she was sure the photographs were destroyed. Turning, with another sweeping glance around the area, she continued her walk to the Arena, her senses now as sharp as they ever were.
