The reinforcements arrived on the evening of the fourth day after the siege was ended by Grey Shadow's sacrifice. As they entered through the gates of SuhnSong, jaws literally fell agape as their eyes fell upon the remaining defenders, many of them still dressed in dented and bloodied armor stood before them. They had expected to face enemy forces... but here, here was a miracle beyond miracles. Thousands of men died defending the
walls of SuhnSong, word of their deaths being brought to each family over the course of the next few weeks. Slowly the city was rebuilt on the memory of the old, each and every defender's name was inscribed upon the walls of SuhnSong as the walls were rebuilt and reinforced. As of this writing, the city has still not seen another enemy attack.
Nova Grey Shadow was taken to his familial grounds, the Shadow Tower rising majestically above the land some miles beyond the city of SuhnSong. There, he was lain beside his first wife, Muse, and their daughter Shine. Above their grave, a magnificent statue of a winged man, kneeling, almost in a state of prayer, his face looking down upon the three graves before him... sadly, yet with a peace one could almost sense. The epitaph reads: "To
the star that fell from the sky to save the land. We thank you."
Hadrian War Sabre retired his commission as Captain of the SuhnSong Guard, his strength disminished by the massive concussion he suffered during the battle. He returned to his village of birth with his wife and children and resides there today, in a position of honor within the village council. He never once returned to the city of SuhnSong after attending Grey Shadow's funeral. Even when he and his fellow defenders were honored with a
great festival, he could not be persuaded to return.
Koren War Angel was given the position of Captain of the Suhndarian Royal Elite, to replace the late Nova Grey Shadow. He served proudly and each year upon the anniversary of Nova Grey Shadow's death, he returns to SuhnSong, no matter where he is, and leaves a flower on the spot of the man's death. Though he barely uttered three sentences to the man in life, he talks to him in death, and has even been seen kneeling, much like the statue,
before Nova's grave, speaking quietly to the air, telling stories of his love, his life, the world of Suhn itself... as if there were really someone there to hear him. To ask Koren War Angel, Nova Grey Shadow can hear him, and takes pleasure in hearing his words beyond the Void.
Nova Red Arrow was offered the position of Captain of the SuhnSong Guard, but he politely refused, instead, requesting personally, to both the Council of Suhn and the Shadow clan, that he be allowed to assume Grey Shadow's role as ambassador in the realm of RhyDin. Out of respect for the deceased, his request was granted and Nova Red Arrow left the realm of Suhn. To this day, he has not returned to his homeworld.
