Glancing out the plate glass window of the paper, Melanie could hardly contain a grin as she watched the antics on the street corner. The two enthusiastic paper boys alternately cavorted and worked, their boysterous hawking covering even this distance.

"Get yer copy o' The Duely Noted! Hot off the presses!"

Cheshire cat-like smiles gleamed from faces that were once guant and hollow eyed, shiny new shoes where once there were none, and freshly pressed clothing graced frames formerly covered by rags. All these changes effected by concerned customers of The Duely Noted...... It was enough to restore ones faith in humanity. As she turned from the window, Melanie failed to notice a sudden frown to one cherubs face.

"He ain't been around ferever, Billy! If we cannae find him, we cannae gi' him 'is free paper." Aidan's woeful eyes welled up suddenly, his attempt to repay their secretive protector foremost on his mind.

"Then we'll hae tae be waitin' til he does come, Aidan, fer we cannae be beholdin' anna longer. Twas a rare fine thing he di' runnin' off tha' bully an' it canne go unrewarded."

With that, both carrot topped youngsters perched upon the top step of the DoS, awaiting the arrival of it's very own 'Bad Boy'.

Khrys listened from the corner as the boys played and joked with each other. She was there, like so many others, for her new copy of the paper. She smiled as Billy handed it to her, a glow across his now round face. She remembered the brothers so clearly, it seemed ages ago..... guant and thin. Clothes always clean, but threadbare. Now the lads wore new clothes, new shoes, and had full bellies to boot.

"Evening Boys." She took the paper and handed them the customary two coppers and two silvers.

Young Billy shook his head this time. "It be free now, Miss Khrysta. No charge. Miss Melanie says so."

Smiling she took back the coppers, and handed the boys each a silver piece as a tip. "Oh.... well then.... Here ya go. Give your mother my best, boys."

"We will. Evening now. Thank ya kindly, Miss Khrysta." They each tipped their caps and pocketed the silver tips as she walked away looking at the front page.

Roland was in the Outback by the time he glanced at the weekly paper, finding it, to his suprise, replaced by the Duely Noted. He grinned, visibly brightened by the sight of the dueling paper, disregarding his duties as Que-keeper for the Brawling League he'd worked his hump off for the last couple of days.
The front page keeping that pleased grin on his face, reading over the text with ease, feeling a bit more relaxed now that they had managed to get the Noted back up to operational status. Seamus had done good. No, better than that. Seamus re-grouped with a bang.
The former mercenary continued reading on into the evening, occasionally pausing to take a duel request before returning back to the different reports, stories, and editorials. His mind pondering over his own article, wondering if it made sense, if it would change a few minds, if it would bring a few more readers... when he was over those thoughts his mind went towards next issue, and what sorta stories he would dig up for the readers.
That, brought back one of those roguish grins he'd grown accustomed to.
