Such language is unbecoming of a Baron. It is also unbecoming of a member of a House that claims to be trying to "better" the Duel of Swords.

In the dark of night, after the rings were silent and empty, and even the boys who toiled in service to the patrons of the arena had long since settled into their wistful slumbers, a cloaked figure entered the arena.
Unseen, he strode quickly across the floor, and tacked a note to the cork. He then slipped out, silently, leaving no other sign of his passing.

As it has come to my attention that my name has been used to further this discussion, I have taken the liberty of having said discussion delivered to me in order to compose a comment.
First, to the primary issue at hand: Note that the rules are written in such a way that the only party whose rights ever take precedence over the Overlord's is a renegade baron, interceding in a test of worthiness. In every other instance within the rules, the Overlord's rights stand clearly paramount. As such, the Overlord's right to re-align a Baron based on their actions clearly stands above the right of a Baron to act, in a legal and moral
basis.
This, then, leads us to the second facet of this discussion; the ultimate recourse for those who object to the Overlord's exercise of his rights is to remove the Overlord. As long as the Overlord retains his position by force of arms, the fault for his continued (perceived) abuse of his rights lies with those who are unable to remove him, period. The Overlord is not answerable to anyone except in the ring. Debate or complain all you wish, but the
Overlord is not constrained to answer your complaints by any means other than challenge.
Third, I direct my attention to Evan. Consider Kalamere's statement of my position to be wholly accurate, as it generally is. Further, you can rest well assured that Kalamere appropriately categorizes Billy Ray's opinion. I find it quite curious that you chide Kalamere for using Billy Ray's example... then beat Billy's chest for him in his absence. I would remind you, stripling, that the one time Kalamere met Billy in the rings over a matter of
import, Kalamere won (that being Kalamere's intercession when Gnimish appointed Billy to test me when I did offer him challenge for the crown). Therefore, your braying about Billy's ability in the ring was aimed at precisely the WRONG target in this discussion.
Lastly... I address the White Duke, Percival. Once upon a time, there was an organization tied to this sport known as the Amethyst Ring. While not a dueling house, and eschewing political involvement as an organization, it otherwise clung to essentially the same honorable intentions your house purports to hold dear. I would caution you to consider your charter carefully, and heed the responsibilities your own words place upon your brotherhood...
and then consider the attitude of one specific member of that house.
Perhaps those who take the time to consider my words might understand that my absence, while certainly spurred on by the dwindling number of my comrades, indeed does have other reasons - and much of this discussion displays them quite openly.

It tells me you are nae so far off tha' I can't find ye when I need to. I look forward to the day you return that I might cross blades and raise glass after glass wi' ye
