Clang...Clang...Clang...

The sound could be heard ringing throught the many twisting hallways and passageways that made up Dragon Mountain. The sound of metal striking metal, the sound of steel being forged. This sound was not uncommon in a dwarven stronghold, normally, but this time the sound had a new meaning, a new purpose.

Clang....Clang....Clang...

Gimzak Stonecutter, king of clan Irongate, his clan, ruler of Dragon Mountain, barely one hundred twenty years old, young to be in the position he is, but then he has led quite a full life since leaving Irongate those many years ago. Battling Dragons, chasing a mad mage throughout a desert for over a year, battling unheard of monsters. Yes, he has led a fulll life, been blessed with 3 wonderful children and friends like he could
never imagine.

Clang...Clang...Clang...

He stands in front of his forge, over his anvil, the hammer rising and falling, striking the same piece of metal over and over, molding, shapping. The corded muscles of his back, arms and chest being pushed, stretched until they feel as if they will snap. The tempo of the hammer stays the same, never missing the beat. Every now and then a few dwarves will wander by and watch their beloved king. They know he strikes the metal now,
not to create, but to train. Sweat drips from his brow, his eyes never waver from their target.
