Trouble for the 'Singers?

They were losing their home, and their arena. And they didn't even know it. Well, Casey did, but she couldn't bring herself to tell the others... not even Del. All she could hope for was some miracle, before it came to that.

The young captain sat at her small desk, in her small office, her head in her hands, a mountain of bills before her on the smooth wooden surface. The West Hotel, an old Hotel, was falling apart. She had talked to the owner, Alesor Elsindel, during one of his rare visits. Hearing of patron complaints, he told Casey to have the needed work done, and she had. But then the bills came... and with it, the admission from the owner that he was broke.
For some time now he had been traveling, and losing much of the profits from gambling. So now there were bills to pay and nothing to pay them with.

Casey sighed, and looked to the stack of papers. "What are we going to do now? Alesor doesn't have the money, and if we don't think of something, he'll be forced to sell this place... kicking us out." Another sigh escaped from her lips, it would be hard on the other 'Singers. They all held various small jobs within the hotel, and lived rent-free. Maybe,
if she was lucky, the new owners would let the team keep their jobs, and only charge a small fee. That was the -best- she could hope for.

Ignoring the papers, she stood wearily and made her way to her room, where Del lay sleeping already. Stopping at the door a moment, she watched his peaceful face, then looked down, swiping a tear from her eye. Undressing quickly, she slipped next to him and curled up, only to find sleep hard in coming.
